Since August 2021, "Gunpla-kun, Gundam Base Battle", a special TV program of "Gunpla-kun", which has been conveying the fun and appeal of Gunpla through various activities centering on short PV, will be broadcast on March 21, 2022 (Monday, holiday) from 10:05 to 10:35 on 6 TV networks in Tokyo, March 29 (Tuesday) from 10:29 to 11:00 on TOKYO MX, March 26 (Saturday) from 19:00 to 19:30 on BS11. It will be broadcast on March 21, 2022 (national holiday) from 10:05 to 10:35 p.m. on TV Tokyo network, on March 29 (Tue.) from 10:29 to 11:00 p.m. on TOKYO MX, and on March 26 (Sat.) from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. on BS11.

Gunpla-kun" is a character born in August 2021 to convey the fun of Gundam plastic models. 10 short 1-minute PVs are currently being distributed on the official Gundam YouTube channel "Gundam Channel.
The story is about "Gunpla-kun" and "Zakupura-kun," who have a strong desire to spread the joy and wonder of plastic models around the world, and who amusingly confront people with their passion and selfishness.

The story of "Gunpla-kun, the Battle for Gundam Base," produced by Sunrise, is about "Gunpla-kun" and "Zakupura-kun" who venture out to the Gundam Base, the sacred land of Gunpla, to face people in an interesting way with their passion and selfishness, and to regain the bond between a parent and child. The parent role of "Fumio" is played by Hitoshi Katagiri, who is active on stage, in movies and on the radio, as well as in dramas. In addition, the self cover songs "Asobu V" and "Uta V" (included in the "Zu disc" released on March 23) by Wolfles, celebrating their 30th anniversary, are used for the OP/ED, making this drama enjoyable for both children and adults! The drama can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

Synopsis of "Gunpla-kun, Gundam Base Battle

Gunpla-kun and Zakupura-kun visit Gundam Base Tokyo, a sacred place for Gunpla, in order to create Gunpla fans. They encounter a girl who knows a lot about Gundam and are scared of children, so they have a hard time making progress.
Then they meet a businessman named "Fumio. Fumio, who wants to communicate more with his son, says, "Gunpla will be the bond between me and my son. Gunpla-kun and Zakupura-kun stand up and start to give Fumio a lecture on Gunpla. Fumio, who is to be taught, chooses the "ENTRY GRADE ν Gundam" as his Gunpla. Then, Gunpla-kun's junior, Nu Gunpla-kun, makes an appearance, and the usual slapstick drama unfolds.

Gunpla-kun (CV: Chiyuki Miura)

One day at dawn, an unidentified standard runner emerges from the production line at the Bandai Hobby Center with a mysterious light.
Since it is a plastic model of the RX-78-2 Gundam, he calls himself "Gunpla-kun," the main character. He is full of pride and passion as a plastic modeler, and starts working hot and loud with a mission to spread the joy of plastic models to the world.

Zakupla-kun (CV: Yu Shamoto)

An unidentified standard runner of the MS-06 Zaku II model that appeared at the same time as Gunpla-kun. They begin working together to fulfill their mission, but he is a firm and calm supporter of Gunpla-kun, who is too passionate about his work. In fact, he has a selfish complex about being a mass-production model.

Char Zaku-kun (CV: Takaaki Torashima)

An unidentified standard runner of the Char Zaku II model. His too-high pride is to hide his overly sensitive personality. He is weak when hit.

Nu Gunpla-kun (CV: Kohei Amasaki)

A new character appearing in this special TV episode. He is an unidentified standard runner of the main character's machine that appeared in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. He is Gunpla-kun's junior, but he has a loose personality that makes it difficult to tell whether he is respecting or mocking his seniors.

Jin Katagiri Profile
Born on November 27, 1973 in Saitama Prefecture.
Graduated from Tama Art University. Currently active mainly in TV dramas, but also in stage, film, and radio. His recent major works include "99.9 - Criminal Lawyer" (16/18TBS), "It's Your Turn" (19/NTV), and "Doctor White" (22/KTV).
In addition to acting, he also engages in clay creation activities, holding his first overseas solo exhibition in Taiwan in 2019 and an exhibition "The 20th Anniversary of Clay Way: Jin Katagiri's Creative Encyclopedia Exhibition" in 2021 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his own creative activities.

Formed in Osaka in 1988, the band consists of Tortoise Matsumoto (Vo, Gt), John B (Ba), and Suncon Jr.
The band's name came from the fact that "Soulful" on the obi of the jacket of the members' favorite LP record could be read as "Wolfle" because of the line breaks.
The band debuted with the single "Yabure Kabure" on May 13, 1992, followed by the 1995 single "Guts, man! and the following year's "Banzai: I'm glad I like you. The album "Banzai" was a big hit, selling over 1 million copies. The one and only rock band that has produced numerous hits, including two appearances on NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Singing Contest). BANDAI SPIRITS will continue to offer a variety of products such as acrylic keychains (6 types, 660 yen each, tax included, on sale now) and mascot keychains (3 types, 880 yen each, tax included, on sale in April) at "THE GUNDAM BASE Tokyo and Fukuoka," the official Gundam Model Kits facility of BANDAI SPIRITS.
