Be an Egoist - New Anime "Blue Rock" Character PV of Hachiraku Mawari Released! Interview with the cast about the secret story of the recording.

From the TV anime "Blue Rock," which will be broadcast in 2022, a character PV "Maki Hachiraku" and an interview with the voice actor Tsubasa Kaiwatari have been released.

Blue Rock" (original story by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, manga by Yusuke Nomura), serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine," is a popular manga that won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Juvenile Division. The story depicts high school students fighting for survival in the "Blue Rock" (blue jail) project of the Japan Football Union, in which only the world's most egoistic striker can become the world's best.

The TV anime "Blue Rock" presents a character PV of Seiichi Jie!

The character PV of "Maki Hachiraku," who is involved with the main character Jiseiichi from the beginning of the story, has been released.

His innocent soccer playing and his words "If you want to crush someone, the strongest one is the one who is the best" show his passion for soccer and his unique egoism. In addition, the video is filled with the charm of his various expressions, such as the scene where he has a heart-to-heart talk with Kiyoshi, or when he makes a meaningful comment with a shadowy expression. ......

An interview with Tsubasa Kaiwatari, who plays Hachiraku, has also arrived!
He said, "I think the charm of Hachiraku is that he goes ahead as he pleases. It is quite difficult to carry out one's own will in a situation where other people are reserved. I myself often shy away from such situations, so I find Hachiraku's self-possessed attitude fascinating." Tsubasa Kaito said. There are many other interesting stories in the film, so please check it out.

What are your impressions of the original story and what do you think are the highlights of this work?
Mr. Kaito:
It is a work that pulls you into its storyline so fast that you can't stop turning the pages. I used to play soccer myself, so I could relate to the way of thinking required to actually play soccer and the style of play of the players, etc. I thought it was an "egoistic" youth sports manga, with each scene making my hands sweat.

I think the main point of interest is the "ego". Each character is aware of his or her own weapon, and aims for the goal with a will that is unmatched by anyone else. The most appealing aspect of this work is that the characters' egos are exposed, as if they are the ones who will do it, not someone else.

What do you feel is the charm of Maze Hachiraku as a character you play?
Kai Wataru-san:
I think the charm of Maki is that she goes ahead as she pleases. It is quite difficult to carry out one's own will in a situation where others are reserved, isn't it? I myself often shy away from such situations, so I find Hachiraku's self-possessed attitude appealing.

Hachiraku doesn't see adversity as adversity, but rather enjoys it. Usually, when a wall stands in front of me, I tend to think in a negative way, like "What should I do? I think it's amazing that he instinctively thinks about what he can do to overcome the obstacles in front of him.

Is there anything you keep in mind when playing such a Hachiraku?
Kai Wataru-san:
I myself have a tendency to be low-tension, so I tell myself, "This scene is a fun scene (from Hachiraku's point of view), so let's get excited! I try to empathize with his feelings.

During the post recording session, director Tetsuaki Watanabe and sound director Hiroki Goh advised me, "Hachiraku is a high school student, but he has a pure and innocent child-like side, so you shouldn't try to make him look like a child. I am acting with that in mind.

Please give a message to the fans in preparation for the broadcast of the TV anime.
Kai Wataru-san:
The original work is a hot, fun, and popular work, and you will be able to feel the growth of Jie, Hachiraku, and each of the characters. As I play Hachiraku, I myself am growing as I face challenges one by one. I am recording the anime with the feeling that the combination of my seniors' performances will make it as "egoistic" and wonderful as the original, so please look forward to the broadcast.

Please look forward to the broadcast.

The long version of the interview is available on the official website, and it is sure to raise expectations for the "Blue Rock" TV anime.
