Spring Anime "Summertime Renda" OP theme video released! Macaroni Pencil writes new song!

The "1st Opening Theme Special Report" from the suspense anime "Summertime Renda," which will begin airing on April 14, 2022 (Thursday), has been released.

Summertime Renda" is a suspense work by Yasunori Tanaka, which was serialized in "Shonen Jump +" and boasted a total of 130 million PV. The main cast of the TV anime will include Natsuki Hanae.

It has been decided that the opening theme for the first TV anime season will be performed by the next-generation rock band "Macaroni Pencil," all members of which are graduates of music universities. The new song, "Hoshi ga Sagaru" (The Stars Swim), which was written by the band, will color the world view of the work.

In addition, the "1st Opening Theme Special Report" using the latest anime footage was also released! The fresh singing voice that matches the world of the work can be heard along with the images of Shinpei, Ushio, and Mio depicted in the main anime.

The video begins with the sound of waves and dotted images of the island of Hitogashima in Wakayama City, where the work is set. A close-up of Shinpei's determined eyes reveals a young girl resembling Ushio, and immediately afterwards, Ushio's memorable line, "Shinpei, find me properly," is shown.
Immediately after, the chorus part of the 1st opening theme "Hoshi ga Sagaru" by Macaroni Pencil is played - enjoy the refreshing voice that matches the world of the work with the anime images.

I wrote the theme song "Swimming in the Stars" with the image of summer frustration and a fate that fleetingly disperses like fireworks.

Formed in Kanagawa prefecture in 2012, led by Hatori (Vo/Gt). A next generation rock band whose members all graduated from music colleges. The band's stage performance is overwhelming with their magnificent band sound that combines Hatori's emotional voice and the various tones of the keyboards.
