Popular game "NieR: Automata" (Nier Automata), which has sold over 6 million copies in total, will be adapted into a TV anime! Newly-drawn anime visual revealed!
The decision to produce a TV anime adaptation was announced during the "NieR: Automata 5th Anniversary Live Broadcast" broadcast today, February 23, 2022.
The popular action RPG game "NieR: Automata" was released by Square Enix on February 23, 2017, and has sold more than 6 million units worldwide.
NieR: Automata" is an action RPG produced by Square Enix and developed by Platinum Games.
The story takes place far in the future, when mankind has been defeated to the moon by an overwhelming force of "machine life forms" from outer space. 2B", a member of the newly organized android unit "Yoruha", throws himself into a fierce battle to take back the Earth...
Today, exactly five years after the release of the game, a TV animation of the game was announced during the "NieR: Automata 5th Anniversary Live Broadcast".
In conjunction with the release of this information, a newly-drawn animation visual and a trailer announcing the decision to produce an anime were also released.
