IDOL MaiSHOW" is a music battle project for idols to compete for the top position in the world, which started its activities in 2019. The film will be released in theaters in early summer 2022 at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba and other venues.

This is the first animated film with an original story since the "IDOL Mai Show" project was launched. In addition to a splendid cast and music creators such as Shigeru Saito, Akihiro Tomita, and Yohei Kisara, who have created many famous songs, the film will be directed by Shingo Kobayashi, who has worked on a wide range of images, including 3DCG and 2D animation, live action, and special effects.

The film will also feature creative scenario writing by the scenario creation team 兀兀兀, led by novelist Tetsuya Sano, as well as cooperation in the animation production of "Macross Delta the Movie: Absolutely LIVE!!!!!!" and the much-talked-about "Macross Delta the Movie: Absolutely LIVE !!!!!!". and the beautiful visual production by ORENDA×Amineworks, which also cooperates in the development of IP games such as the popular smartphone game "Heaven Burns Red". The film will offer a completely new visual experience.

In addition, the unit's music project will be restarted in conjunction with the theatrical anime adaptation!
The release of a new CD, the first in about two years, will not be based on the traditional structure of confrontation between units, but will be the first collaboration between three units (NO PRINCESS, Crescent Eyes, and X-UC) to create new songs to enhance the theatrical version of the film.

The participating units are: "NO PRINCESS," a street-style dance and vocal idol group; "Lunatic Eyes," an authentic idol group whose theme is love, courage, and affirmation; and "Lunatic Eyes," a group of 10 members who engage in friendly competition. and "X-UC (Ten-UC)," a new generation of idols with 10 members in friendly competition.
The national idol unit "Fool's End" suddenly announced its dissolution, setting off a nationwide battle of idols.

Director : Shingo Kobayashi
Born in Tokyo. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, began working in illustration and design, and established Studio Galapagos.
He established Studio Galapagos and has directed various CG productions himself, including illustrations, artwork, design, game-related projects, and commercials. As an individual, he is also a VFX/CG animation supervisor, a technical digital director, and a "painter" with both 3DCG and 2D animation techniques and drawing ability who has participated in many animation, live-action, and special effects films.
Although this is his first time as a "director" of an animated film, he brings his experience in both live-action and animation to this film.

KOTSUTSU is a story "creation laboratory" presided over by novelist Tetsuya Sano, and is a "creative team" that produces works with its own unique color together with a number of creators who participate in the project.
