This time, "Sendai Citizens Only Badge" and "Office Glico" become capsule toys! The latest capsule toys of a different kind are introduced! Wacky Kaiyama's latest capsule toy exploration No. 61

I recently did a feature section on capsule toys for "Josei Jishin" (women's magazine). I hope some of you checked it out.

We are currently in the midst of the fourth capsule toy boom! Stores specializing in capsule toys are opening one after another in the city. The capsule toy industry is growing at a breakneck pace. The fact that women's magazines such as "Joseijishin" are featuring capsule toys in their articles is a testament to the momentum of the industry.

Local capsule toys in various parts of Japan are also flourishing, and the number of souvenir gachas that can only be obtained by visiting a particular area, such as Omiya City in Saitama Prefecture or Funabashi City in Chiba Prefecture, is rapidly increasing. I am currently living in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, where original gachas also exist.

This time, I would like to start with a review of such local gacha!

Sendai Citizen Limited Can Badge" TOSHIN 200 yen, 11 kinds in total

TOSHIN, which operates the capsule toy specialty store "#C-PLa" nationwide, has planned a regional limited edition gacha. Using Twitter, the company is calling for ideas from all over the country to be made into badges. We are developing these great ideas into badges.

Such local badges are so maniacal and pinpointed that even the locals are wowed! How far will users be able to go? I am somewhat concerned, but let's check it out.

The Isui badge explains "Isui.

All Miyagi people can understand (?) When it comes to dialects, "isui" is a word that is hard to explain! I don't know how to explain it, but it means when you feel a little uncomfortable, such as when you feel like squirming on your back, or when you feel like it's okay to stay in a certain place, but it doesn't feel right. It just doesn't feel right! If you wear such a badge on your chest, you are likely to become more and more bothered.

Good morning shoes badge

If you feel your toes are somewhat itchy, a finger will pop out of a hole in your sock! The Sendai people have a great sense of humor in putting "Ohayo" in a cute way! A thumb says good morning from an illustration of a sock that looks like it's been worn out! It's a common sight.

New York Badge of the Tohoku Region

I don't remember saying this! However, I am sure that the vain Date culture and "leader of the Northeast region" is a thing of the past! It's a city of a million, with a concentrated transportation network. What about this? The fact that there are some "what about this?" items in the lineup may be a deliberate strategy.

I ate 200 million sasa-kamaboko. Badge

Sasa-kamaboko is a specialty of Sendai. However, Sendai people don't eat so much of it. This is a matter that needs to be investigated!

I'm sure you'll be able to find out more about it! Badge

I say this! I say it in a somewhat great way. It means "I'll give it to you. As shown in the illustration, three zundamozu (rice cakes) are too much. The correct meaning is "One bite for you! I wonder...?

Tanabata is in August, Sendai Citizen's Badge

That's right. In Sendai, July 7 is just a casual day, and the three days of August 7, 8, and 9, the season of the three major festivals in Tohoku, are the Tanabata festivals! I hope we can hold it in a big way this year!

Yandakunaru Badge

The biggest class of "I don't want to do it" is "yandakunaru. It is also called "yandakunakko. But Sendai people do it after all. Perhaps it is the indomitable spirit of "Tohoku Spirit" that makes them do it even though they say so.

The "uniquely funny" badge

Quite a big laugh! That is the best word of praise. Many people use it even if it is not that funny. If you wear this badge while drinking, you'll have a great time!

Date badge

The word "Date-sha" refers to the gorgeous, luxurious, and elegant appearance loved by Lord Date Masamune, the founder of the Sendai clan. I don't feel bad about it.

I don't feel bad about it! (complete agreement) Badge

This expression is the highest level of affirmative agreement. If you say "n" more strongly, it conveys even more feeling. This is an important dialect for strengthening the sense of camaraderie.

N-datcha~ badge

The secret is this! This is a Sendai dialect that became nationally known as Ram-chan's language in "Urusei Yatsura. It is especially attractive when said by a girl. To make a strong affirmation, add "Dare~" at the end of the word.

The prefectural batch is now being developed all over the country. In Tokyo, where many local people gather, it is sure to become a must-have item. The response has been so positive that a second version is already being planned.

Please join us as an observer when the second version of the Sendai Citizen Badge is released!

office glico mini frog piggy bank" Partners: 498 yen, 4 types in total

There are amusement facilities such as "Molly Fantasy" and "PALO" all over Japan. Did you know that there is an original capsule toy machine "KAPUEBO" in those stores?

It is completely cashless, and capsules come out automatically when payment is made, so there is no need to turn the handle, and there is no money slot. There is no need to turn the handle and there is no money slot! It is truly a futuristic gacha machine that is completely contactless.

The contents of the machine are all things that are sure to be a hit on social networking sites, such as collaboration items with YouTube stars and huge straps. This time, we will introduce a miniature "frog piggy bank," a nostalgic item from the olden days!

I immediately turned the handle!

Office Glico is a snack service provided by Glico Channel Create, a subsidiary of Ezaki Glico. In exchange for the snacks, customers place money in a payment box and purchase the snacks.

The "Mini Kaeru Piggy Bank" is based on the motif of the payment box, and is available in green, blue, pink, and purple. A paper pedestal that says "Here is the money! If you know "Office Glico," you will be smiling and saying, "Yes, I have that! If you know "Office Glico," you will be smiling. The attention to detail is wonderful.

I got the "Purple" frog. It has a sleepy look in its eyes, but I'll leave it at that. I immediately set the money on the frog's tongue. Then, it instantly swallowed the money. The action of the frog is so cute!

Yes, this gimmick is exactly the same as my old piggy bank. I remember enjoying the repetitive movements of putting it in and taking it out, and then putting it back in.

Small but practical, it can hold 9 to 10 one-yen coins, 5 to 6 five-yen coins, 3 to 4 ten-yen coins, 5 to 6 50-yen coins, and 4 to 5 100-yen coins. Unfortunately, it cannot hold 500-yen coins, but it can hold Maury Fantasy game medals. The back cover is also easy to open, which is GOOD!

This is a perfect item to put jari sen in and take to a candy store.

Also, if you win the lottery, you will get a "limited original candy box with a big frog piggy bank"! (*Entries close on February 28, 2022.)

Many people are unaware that MOREY FANTASY and PALO have their own cashless capsule toys. It is interesting to see a different world of capsule toys.

How was it?

This time, we introduced some gachas that are not so much on the high street as they are known by those in the know. Wouldn't it be fun to take a trip to find an original gacha that is only available in that area? It will be a different experience.

See you soon!
