From "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Island of Cruz Doan," which is scheduled to be shown on June 3, 2022 (Friday) on a nationwide roadshow, information on the voice actor playing Cruz Doan, a character drawing of Cruz Doan, a drawing of MS-06F Doan Zaku, and a drawing of RX-78-02 Gundam have been released. The first time the series was broadcast in 1979, it was broadcast in Japan.

The 15th episode "The Island of Cruz Doan" of "Mobile Suit Gundam," a milestone in Japanese robot animation and the origin of Gundam, was broadcast in 1979. The episode, known as a masterpiece among fans, drew fans' attention with its depiction of the melancholy of war through the interaction between the main character, Amuro Ray, and Doan, a deserter from the Zeon army, who is the antagonist.

Cruz Doan, who is mentioned in the title of the movie, is a former MS pilot in the Principality of Zeon army who lives on an isolated island with many children and a dairy farm. He became a deserter after running away with the Zaku he was flying, and has been fighting both the Earth Federation Forces and the Principality of Zeon forces approaching the island with the Zaku he has been repairing and refurbishing, rendering enemy aircraft combat-ready. After an encounter with Amuro's Gundam, he rescued Amuro from the cockpit after he visited the island to clean up the island's remaining enemies. He is a skilled pilot, and is capable of overpowering even the Gundam that Amuro rides, which is becoming an experienced warrior. He is hiding a secret on the island, and his life is threatened by his former subordinate, the Southern Cross Squadron.

Cruz Doan, an important character in the story, is played by Shunsuke Takeuchi, an up-and-coming voice actor who has dubbed many anime and movies, and also performs as a member of a music unit and mimicry act. I feel very honored to be involved in the Gundam series at this time, which marks the 40th anniversary of the series, and to be a part of the "first series" directed by Yasuhiko-san.
I have known about the existence of episode 15 for a long time, but I never imagined that it would be rebooted.
I have reviewed all the episodes of the first series to make sure I did not betray your expectations, and I have taken on the challenge.

Born on September 12 in Tokyo, Takeuchi was selected at the young age of 17 to play the role of a producer in the anime "THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS" (`15), a popular app game, and won the New Actor Award at the 10th Voice Actor Awards the following year. MS-06F Zaku dedicated to Doan

This is the Zaku that Cruz Doan flew when he led the Southern Cross Corps of the Principality of Zeon. Because it escaped during the invasion of Earth, Doan recovered parts from the aircraft of the defeated enemy and used them to repair and modify the aircraft himself. As a result, some of the armor is still peeling off, and many parts are asymmetrical. It is usually hidden from view to protect the islanders, but is used to intercept and neutralize the Earth Federation Forces and Zeon Principality Forces when they arrive.

RX-78-02 Gundam

A prototype mobile suit for white combat of the Earth Federation Forces, piloted by Amuro Rey. It was modified when the White Base arrived at Jaburo, the headquarters of the Earth Federation Forces, and became the mid-term type. The main changes include the incorporation of a core pod into the body unit, and the shoulder magnum on the left shoulder has been replaced with a Vulcan cannon, as has the right shoulder. After the destruction of the Earth Federation Forces' MS unit on an uninhabited island, it is used in a mission to clear the island of remaining enemies, but after a battle with Doan's Zaku, it is lost.

<Story
The Earth Federation Forces, having withstood the defensive battle at Jaburo, launched a major counterinsurgency operation to capture Odessa, the home base of the Zeon Earth Advance Force. Amuro and his White Base sailed to Belfast to receive the last supply of supplies before the operation. Amidst this situation, the White Base is handed a mission. It is a mission to sweep up the remaining enemies on an uninhabited island, commonly known as the "Island of No Return. Amuro and his men embark on a search for the remaining agents, but what they see there are children who should not be there and a single Zaku. Amuro, who lost his Gundam in the battle, meets a man who calls himself Cruz Doan. Can Amuro uncover the secret of the island, find the Gundam again, and escape safely...?
