Manga artist Mia Seikai passed away from subarachnoid hemorrhage on March 7, 2022, it was announced on the official website of Kodansha Nakayoshi.

On the official website of "Nakayoshi," it was announced that "Ms. Seikai made her debut at Kodansha and wrote "Tokyo Miu Miu" and "Super Doll★Rika-chan" (original story by Takara), etc. for "Nakayoshi". We are all deeply saddened by her sudden and untimely passing. Seikai's works have been read all over the world, and we are very saddened to hear of his passing. Seikai's masterpiece "Tokyo Mew Mew Mew" will be reanimated in the summer of 2022 under the title "Tokyo Mew Mew Mew Nyu~♡," and the publication of a 10-volume "Tokyo Mew Mew Mew New Edition" was just announced in February to celebrate the anime adaptation.
