An introduction to the game system of AI: Somnium Files Nirvana Initiative, released in June!

Spike Chunsoft has announced new information about the game system for AI: Somnium Files Nirvana Initiative, which will be released on Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam on June 23.

Eye: Somnium File" is a full-fledged adventure game in which "Date Key," a detective in the Metropolitan Police Department's special unit, and "Aibou," an AI-equipped artificial eye that usually resides inside Date's left eye, investigate a series of bizarre murders. Eye: Somnium File Nirvana Initiative" is a sequel to "Eye: Somnium File Nirvana Initiative".

Introduces the game system! Going back and forth between dreams and reality to get to the bottom of the case!

The two main characters "Mizuki" and "Ryuki," who belong to the special investigation team "ABIS" of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, take on the "Half-Body Serial Murder Case" with their partners, eye-shaped AI "Ivoo" and "Tama.

The "Investigation Part" consists of two parts: the "Investigation Part," in which they investigate and interview witnesses in the real world, and the "Somnium Part," in which they invade the dream world of an important witness, and while going back and forth between the two parts, they obtain important evidence and information to get to the bottom of the case.

<Investigation Part
In the investigation part, the story progresses by visiting various locations in the real world, investigating the crime scene, and interviewing the people involved. Mizuki and Ryuki are fitted with an AI-Ball, a prosthetic eye with advanced artificial intelligence, in their left eye, and by utilizing the AI-Ball's visual functions, such as X-rays and thermal imaging, they may obtain unexpected clues to the case.

In addition, new elements have been added to this title, such as an "extended visual part," in which special visual functions are applied to the entire space for investigation, and a "truth reconstruction part," in which the situation in which the case occurred is recreated in a drama-like manner. A new function, "WinkPsync," which simply reads the thoughts of the other party, has also been introduced, making it possible to gain an advantage in the investigation by learning about the other party's lies and concerns.

<Somnium Part.
The Somnium Part, one of the features of this title, is a part in which the "Psync device" is used to enter the dream world of an important witness and search for the hidden truth. In the dream world, AI-Balls "Ibou" and "Tama," assistant investigators connected to the protagonist's mind, appear in the form of women and conduct the investigation on behalf of the protagonist.

The subject can stay in the dream world for six minutes. The dream world is constructed based on the subject's personality and memories, and each has its own rules. The objective of the Somnium Part is to enter the deep consciousness of an important witness, break the "mental locks" that hinder the investigation within the time limit, and reach important clues.

In the Somnium part of this title, new dream worlds such as the air and underwater have been introduced. The previous title only allowed players to move on foot, but with the addition of up and down movement, players can now experience more varied dream worlds.
