New Anime "Kami Kuzu☆Idol" to Air in Summer 2022! Teaser PV & key visuals, additional cast members including Eri Kitamura are revealed!

Teaser PV & key visual and additional cast information including Eri Kitamura have arrived from the TV anime "Kami Kuzu☆Idol" scheduled to air in the summer of 2022.

The original story is an idol comedy manga serialized in "Monthly Comic ZERO-SUM" by Mr. Eliki Isofurabon. Yuya Niyodo, a "scum idol" with a nice face but no motivation at all, meets the ghost of the legendary "god idol" Asahi Mogami and possesses her to become the top idol in the idol world. The story is a slapstick comedy. The unique idols and the joys and sorrows of the fans who cheer them on have gained popularity with the comment, "If you've ever been in the idol world, you can't help but laugh! The manga has gained popularity and won third place in the "Next Coming Manga Award" in 2019.

The TV anime is scheduled to air in the summer of 2022, with Fumiya Imai playing the main character Yuya Niyodo, Nao Higashiyama playing the ghost god idol Asahi, and Shun Horie playing Niyodo's idol partner, Kazuki Yoshino.

Two key visuals, a scum version & a god version!

The first key visual is of the idol unit "ZINGS," consisting of Niyodo and Yoshino, and looks like a scene taken from a live performance.
As the catchphrase "Even a scab can be promoted," the image is composed from the perspective of a cheering fan looking up at the ZINGS, with the "scab Niyodo" version depicting a ghost named Asahi cheering on an unmotivated Niyodo overhead, and the "scab Yoshino" version depicting a sparkling expression of Asahi possessed by Niyodo. The "Kami Niyodo" version, in which Asahi is possessed by Niyodo and stands on stage with a sparkling expression on her face, was released simultaneously. You can enjoy the two sides of Yuya Niyodo, who embodies the title of this work, "God" and "Scum.

In the teaser PV, Niyodo, Asahi, and Yoshino and the unique characters surrounding them appear one after another, including Eri Kitamura as Hitomi Shinano, the president of the office to which ZINGS belongs; Hitomi Ueda, Haichiha Daichi, and Mainaka Ishimi as Kawashiki, Tsugiko, and Shiguro, fans who support ZINGS; and Hayami Tsho will handle the narration voice of the main story.

The TV anime will start airing in the summer of 2022. The animation will be produced by Studio Gogumi, which also produced "Harlem of the End" and "Yuuki Yuna is a Brave Woman," and directed by Fukuoka Daisei.
