Inio Asano's "Dead Dead Demons: Dedede Destruction" to be adapted into an anime! Special video from the production site and newly drawn illustrations have arrived!

An anime adaptation of Inio Asano's manga "Dead Dead Demons Dedede Destruction" (also known as "Dedede") has been announced. A special video and illustrations have arrived.

The manga, which has been serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" since 2014, centers on a group of girls who continue to live a seemingly normal, but something has definitely changed in their daily lives in a world suddenly threatened by an existence called "invaders". The story centers on a group of girls who go about their daily lives in a seemingly normal but decidedly different world. Last year, it won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award for general readers. This year, it won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival.

Dedede" finally reached its final episode in the February 28 issue of "Weekly Spirits" (No. 13), and will conclude with the release of the 12th book on March 30. The long-awaited anime adaptation has now been announced.

Production +h., which also produced "Shonen Shonen Shoujo" (the latest work by director Mitsuo Iso), will be in charge of the animation production. This will be the first animated work by Inio Asano, creator of "SOLANIN," which has been made into a movie, and "Oyasumi Pumppun," which has sold over 3 million copies in total.

I am proud to say that I was able to leave something important and universal in my work that will not fade away no matter how much time goes by, even though the world may or may not have changed a lot during the 8-year long serialization. The original story will never be told again, but I hope you will experience the very complex and very simple world of "Dedede" once again, this time through the moving figures of Kadoide and Ontan. Dedede" never ends. And Kadoide and Ontan are "absolute".
