Sword Art Online Progressive" is a reboot series by the creator himself that delves deeply into the trajectory of "SAO" from the first layer of Aincrad, the beginning of the whole "SAO" story.

In 2021, a completely new animated film series based on "Progressive" will begin. The first film, "Aria: A Night Without Stars," which depicted a new "Aincrad" chapter from a different perspective, from Kirito to the heroine Asuna, was a long-running hit in all prefectures for 10 weeks and ranked first at the weekend box office.

On December 2, 2021, the North American premiere of "SWORD ART ONLINE THE MOVIE - Progressive - Aria: A Night Without Stars" will be held at the Aratani Theatre (Los Angeles, California). The event was a great success, with dubbed cast members Cherami Leigh (Asuna) and Anairis Quiñones (Mito) as well as Alex von David (Director of Dubbing) taking the stage after the screening.
