The voice actor Yasuyuki, who loves robots more than any other voice actor in the industry, has been playing around with the latest toys and hobbies in this popular series!

This time, we introduce the super robot "UFO Robot Grendizer" released by Alphamax in February 2022.

The company also released DH Alloy Steel Jeeg and Paansaloid in 2018 (Steel Jeeg will be re-released in 2020), and this is a new release with a lot of anticipation.

UFO Robot Grendizer" is a TV animation that has been broadcast in Japan since 1975, and is one of the world's favorite robot animation works, as evidenced by the famous episode in 1978 when it was broadcast in France and achieved the highest rating of 100% (average rating of 75%). (Incidentally, the highest viewer rating was over 80% in Italy, and it was also very popular in Iraq and Arab countries.) ) So, there must be many fans around the world who are interested in "DH Alloy UFO Robot Grendizer".

We would like to take a look at the charms packed into a volume of approximately 28 cm in height and 650 g in body weight!

First, let's take a look at the packaging. On the front, there is a picture of Grendizer firing a powerful Space Thunder.

On the back are the various gimmicks and accessories. There are also some examples of poses.

On the top is a picture of Grendizer with his arms crossed and the product logo. On the sides and bottom are the "UFO Robo Grendizer" logo.

Inside is a two-tiered blister package. The first tier contains the figure, some accessories, and effect parts.

The second level contains the stand and various parts of Harken.
So the first step is to assemble the main body of Grendizer.

Attach the head nails (metal), which are very small parts, to the head, and attach the angular parts "head corners (primary color)" at the ears.

The round shoulders are divided into three parts, each of which can be raised. Once the shoulder armor is fully opened, insert the upper arm parts (combined with the upper arm cover).

Further, attach the forearms to the upper arms, taking care to align the direction of the forearms.

Be careful with the forearms, which are square in the back. There are a lot of details in it.

Further connect the hand parts.

Finally, insert the "half-moon shaped sickle" into the gap between both shoulders, close the movable part of the sickle and fix it to the main body.

This completes the "DH Alloy UFO Robo Grendizer". Details commensurate with its size. Plenty of clear parts are used. The internal armor can be seen through the clear parts, and at this point, there is already a lot to see!

A close-up of the head area. The head alone has been exquisitely rearranged, with details added that were not in the anime setting, and the balance has been modified, so that no matter how one looks at it, it looks just like Grendizer. The orange intakes on the upper chest are also new.

The anti-gravity storm radiation plate has some details that can be seen through. Other bold details have been added, especially the waist, which has been divided into two sections, and the narrowed line.

The arrangement of parts and coloring of the waist is also based on the original work, but the shape has been arranged in a more complex manner. The green and red parts are clear parts with mechanical details on the inside.

The thighs, too, have been designed with details that recall various functions from a simple cylinder.

The plate-like part on the shin is blue in the setting, but has been changed to a clear red to match the design on the toe side. However, there is not much discomfort.

Thrusters are placed on the calf. This is another arrangement in pursuit of realism.

The red line on the top of the head is also clear red. Not only here, all red parts of this Grendizer are clear red parts.

Thruster-like molding has been added to the back of the body. The gray part opens to reveal a connection slot. When various spacers are released in the future, they will probably be docked here. It is not ...... possible to release a Grendizer and not a single spacer, right?　Right?

The rear waist armor has two hatches, the upper one has a microUSB port and the lower one has a slot to attach a stand. The lower hatch is so particular that there is no particular protrusion that can be opened by clawing, and looks are a priority.

There is also a slot on the underside of the waist to connect to the stand, and judging from the orientation, we can assume that some sort of spacer deployment is still in mind.

The knees are detailed in a "bendable mechanical" manner.

The calf has a four-stage dividing line.

When deployed, each thruster is exposed on the inside.

At first glance, the shoulders are so well put together that it is hard to believe that they are divided. Yellow thrusters are visible on the outside. Mechanical details have been added to the upper arms as well.

The forearms were originally a very well-designed part of the figure, but with the addition of the new details, the design has become even denser.

Next, let's take a look at the movable parts.

The neck is connected in two places, at the base of the head and at the base of the body, so it can be moved quite flexibly.

The face can be turned up wide ......, that is!　Expect more developments in the future!

Slight twisting and tilting to the left and right is possible with the hips.

The waist is actually divided into 8 sections. The skirt armor portion can be bounced up significantly and does not interfere with leg movement.

The shoulder armor deploys, allowing the arms to be brought forward without having to rotate the armor.

Lifting upward from a horizontal position is also possible to this extent because the shoulder armor springs up.

The shoulder swings up and down at the base.

Rotation at the shoulder connection axis is also possible. Shoulder armor can also be rotated firmly.

A microUSB port is provided on the stand to power the main body of Grendizer. (The stand is additionally connected to the power supply via USB.)

First, use it as a stand without power supply and try posing it further!

The stand is tall enough to allow for poses such as jumping up with all your might.

Pose as if you are bending all the movable parts of the body, and gathering a great deal of strength.

One scythe blade can be removed and combined with parts for a single Harken.

The blade side is magnetically connected. The tail bayonet (the pointy one) side has a screw type attachment method.

This Harken is made of metal, so it is quite heavy, but you can hold it with a movable finger. However, as expected, there may be some patterns that are a little difficult to hold depending on the place or angle at which you grip it.

The double Harken gives a strong impression, but with the single Harken, it seems to be able to make small turns.

Both Harkens cut down enemies!

It is a place to let your imagination run wild to see what kind of way it can be held because it was used only a few times in the play!

As I mentioned earlier, this Double Harken is made of metal and is quite heavy, but it can still be posed like this.

The holding power of the wrists is also good, but the holding power of the shoulders and arms is also very good.

The pedestal is movable in two places and locks with a metal shaft.

Oops!　It's too cool to let the figure strike various poses, but let's take a look at the main gimmick of this figure, the electric light and motorized gimmick!

Be careful not to damage the microUSB connector or the slot in the stand.

The microUSB cable can of course be used with ordinary microUSB cables, but be careful not to use one that is too thick around the terminal, as it will not fit into the slot. (The one on the right in the photo is too thick to fit.)

If you replace the head nail with the "Space Thunder Effect", you can recreate Space Thunder!

Two effect parts are attached to the side of the forehead and the back of the head.

The chest is so bright that it could light up a double Harken.

I would love to display it in this state all the time.

While showing that the daiser punch can also be reproduced, I took it to the screw crusher punch, so please assume that the arm blades were deployed after ejection!

It may be difficult to convey in the image, but this punch is actually rotated by a mini-motor installed in the forearm of ......!

Combined with the effect parts, it stimulates the feeling of "I wish I could see this in 3D! I wish I could have seen it in 3D!

The mini motors are built into the forearms, so they can rotate no matter whether the elbows are bent or the arms are raised. Of course, it is also possible to recreate the "Crusher Punch" with the blade deployed to 90 degrees, or the "Screw Crusher" where the enemy is punched with the blade deployed.

Please be careful not to turn on the power without deploying the blade.

All the effect parts are installed and the LEDs are turned on!　It looks like an all-out battle.

As we mentioned several times in the article, we are interested in combining the Grendizer with other Spacers. So, I made them pose as if they were going to be combined with the Spazer.
