Broadcasting on BS11! Anison Days" will air Hiroko Moriguchi's "GUNDAM SONG COVERS3" special on 4/1 and 4/8 for two consecutive weeks!

Anison Days," which airs regularly on BS11 every Friday night from 10 p.m., will air a special feature on Hiroko Moriguchi's album "GUNDAM SONG COVERS 3," which is now on sale and will be broadcast for two consecutive weeks on April 1 and 8, 2022.

The first week will feature a studio live performance with Kotaro Oshio and Sayoshi Oishi, as well as behind-the-scenes stories about the recording of the album.

In the second week, Maya Ayukawa will join them for a special collaborative live performance, and Oshio's and Oishi's guitar playing will be a must-see.
Also, don't miss the "Z Gundam Medley" performed by Ms. Ayukawa and Hiroko Moriguchi.

[Program Outline

This is a music program that spins songs from the classic anime songs that have colored the times and will always shine brightly in our hearts. The program features solo and duet songs performed live with the program's original arrangements by a wide range of anime song-loving guests from various generations.

In the talk corner, they will talk about everything from academic topics to (secret) episodes.

（I thought that there is no such a luxurious music program (for two weeks)!
Kotaro Oshio has participated in all of the "GUNDAM SONG COVERS" series, and in "1" we even tried recording with only guitars at the same time! After that, he made a surprise appearance at the 35th anniversary concert, and while the "breathing" and "music" between Mr. Oshio and myself had been growing, his guest appearance in this "Anison Days" was a great enthusiasm! I was numbed by Mr. Oshio's clear sound and percussive play of âG's Flashâ delivered by just the two of us.
Mr. Oishi Masayoshi's appearance in "Anison Days" led to his participation in "GUNDAM SONG COVERS 3" as a chorus and arranger! This recording is a "special program version" that differs from the album.
Oishi's happy aura of singing turned me on at once, and I realized once again that "Oishi's unique energy and genius arrangement" is one and only.
I was so happy to be able to sing "A Warrior" with their guitars. I was so excited by Mr. Oshio's aggressive guitar playing that gave me a sense of "Oshio's World", and I was so excited by Mr. Oishi's excellent guitar playing, which Mr. Oshio admires so much. It is a time you will lose if you don't watch it!
Then, the medley of "Mobile Suit Z Gundam" from 1985 is another highlight! The harmony between Maya Ayukawa, who sang the opening theme "Zeta, Toki wo Koete" in the first half of the year, and me, who sang the opening theme "Mizu no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" in the second half of the year, is full of history and bonding! I have great respect for Mamiya-san, whose voice is forever beautiful, and since I have known her since I was 17 years old, this collaboration was filled with joy that I could "do music with Mamiya-san" even after more than 30 years! I was in tears from the rehearsal because I knew that the feelings I had built up with the fans and the staff could be delivered in "Anison Days" as well (laughs).
I hope that the performance by Mickey Band and the collaboration with the wonderful Oshio-san and Oishi-san will bring you the new charm of the Gundam songs loved by all generations! They are all great songs that will resonate even with those who have not seen the Gundam works.

This was the first time for me and Mr. Moriguchi to perform "G no Senkaku" at a live concert, and we had a very good session.
I can't wait for everyone to see it. The three of us with Oishi Masayoshi performed "Ai Senshi" together, and it was amazing! I really enjoyed playing with him.

I was very moved to be able to perform live.
It has been 37 years since I met Hiroko at Z Gundam. I was very happy to be able to sing with Hiroko because we have sung and spun "Z, Toki wo Koete - Ai wo Mizu no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" together for 37 years since we first met in Z Gundam. I really enjoyed the collaboration with Hiroko, which is the result of our longtime bond. Thank you very much!

Gundam Song Covers 3
The concept of "Gundam song cover album for adults", "GUNDAM SONG COVERS" was released in 2019, and reached No.3 in Oricon Weekly Ranking and won the "Japan Record Award" Planning Award in that year. The sequel, "GUNDAM SONG COVERS 2," was released in 2020, and ranked No. 2 on Oricon and Billboard Japan, and Moriguchi's emotionally rich vocals have attracted renewed attention and continued to make great strides. The final chapter of this series, "GUNDAM SONG COVERS 3," released on March 9 (Wed.), also ranked third in the Oricon Billboard JAPAN weekly ranking (as of March 16).
This work, which spotlights male vocal songs, is the second in the series of "Gundam Song Covers 3," which includes songs from 1979's "Shobe! Gundam" released in 1979 to "G no Senkaku" released in 2014.

The concert "Starry People" will be held at Showa Women's University Hitomi Memorial Auditorium in Tokyo on May 3 (Tuesday/public holiday).
