Shin Ultraman" to be released on May 13, 2022 (Friday), scene photos & organization and character information released!

The latest scenes from the movie "Shin Ultraman," which will be released in theaters on May 13, 2022 (Friday), have been released. In addition, the names of the organizations to which the main characters belong, as well as their names, positions, and areas of expertise, were also announced.

Since its first broadcast in 1966, "Ultraman" has been aired in more than 100 regions overseas, and remains one of Japan's most popular characters. The new Ultraman film "Shin Ultraman" is planned and written by Hideaki Anno, who himself professes to be a fan of the Ultraman series.

The film will be directed by Shinji Higuchi, who has worked with Anno on numerous masterpieces, including "Neon Genesis Evangelion. The powerful production team, which won seven major awards at the 40th Japan Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for the blockbuster "Shin Godzilla" (2004), which shocked all of Japan, is now fully prepared to take on this new fantastical special effects film.
The powerful production team will be joined by a superb cast of actors.

The latest scene photos from "Shin Ultraman" have been released.

The 12 latest scene photos include Takumi Saito holding up the "Vator Capsule," Masami Nagasawa, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Hiroki Arioka, and Akari Hayami, who give a sense of the tense situation, and Ultraman and the giant unknown creatures, Gabora and Neronga, which appeared in the special news footage.

The names of the organizations to which the main characters belong, as well as their names, positions, and areas of expertise, were also announced at the same time.

The organization is called "Katokutai," which was established by the Disaster Prevention Agency as an organization dedicated to disaster countermeasures against disasters caused by giant unidentified creatures.
The members are Shinji Kaminaga (Takumi Saito), an operation planning officer; Hiroko Asami (Masami Nagasawa), an analyst; Akihisa Taki (Hiroki Arioka), a non-particle physicist; Yumi Funafari (Akari Hayami), a general purpose biologist; and Kimio Tamura (Hidetoshi Nishijima), a team leader.
