The "Shinkage no Kyojin" series, serialized by Hajime Isayama in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" until April 2021, has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. 2013 saw the TV anime adaptation, with Season 2 airing in 2017 and Season 3 from 2018 to 2019.And "Shinkage no Kyojin" The Final Season Part 2 will start airing on NHK Sogo from January 2022. Production is being handled by MAPPA.

On April 3 (Sun.), after the broadcast of episode 87 "Dawn of Humanity," an announcement was made that the final part of the TV anime "Shinkaku no Kyojin" The Final Season will be broadcast on NHK Sogo in 2023.
