Taking the top spot this year was the series "Haru wo Hitta Ita" (I Had a Spring), which took the top spot for the second consecutive year in 2019 and 2020.

As soon as voting started on the 14th, the "I was holding spring" series quickly gathered a large number of votes. This year's entry also included "Cicadas in Winter," and it was still unrivaled, taking the top spot in a storm.
This anime work is based on the BL manga by Nitta Yukatsu, which was serialized in "MAGAZINE BE x BOY" from 1999 to 2009, and became popular around 2000 when BL drama CDs were at their peak, followed by the release of an OVA in 2005, and in 2007, a derivative work, "Fuyu no Semi" (Winter Cicada) In 2007, a derivative work, "Fuyu no Semi" (Winter Cicada), was also made into an OVA. The success story of the two main characters, Kyosuke Iwashiro and Yoji Kato, both former sexy video actors, who gained popularity with the public through an audition for a movie, and their rise in the entertainment industry, as well as their love story, became a major topic of conversation. Tomoyuki Morikawa plays the role of Iwashiro, a handsome and orthodox man who has a hard-headed personality, and Shinichiro Miki plays the role of Kato, a cute and affectionate younger man who appears to be just a lightweight, but is too straight-forward.

In second place was "The World's First Love," another popular series.
The "World's First Love" series by Shungiku Nakamura includes four couples: "The Case of Ritsu Onodera," which describes the love between Masamune Takano and Ritsu Onodera; "The Case of Chiaki Yoshino," which describes Yoshiyuki Hatori and Chiaki Yoshino; "The Case of Shota Kisa," which describes Emperor Yukina and Shota Kisa; and "The Case of Takashi Yokozawa," which describes Zen Kirishima and Takashi Yokozawa. With a total of four couples in the series, anyone should be able to find one favorite couple. The story, which is set in an editorial department, also depicts the reality of the publishing industry, and even if you do not have a favorite couple, you can enjoy it as an industry story, which is probably one of the reasons for the popularity of this work.
This year, not only the main TV anime "World's First Love," but also "World's First Love the Movie: Takashi Yokozawa's Case" and the movie version of "World's First Love: Proposal Arc" were entered as part of the series, and the votes that had previously been a bit scattered were finally combined to take second place! Last year's winner, "Koisuru Riotousness.

Last year's winner, "Koisuru Tyrant," was also in third place, just five votes behind the "Sekaiichi Hatsukoi" series.
This work tells the story of Soichi Tatsumi and Tetsuhiro Morinaga, two popular characters in a spin-off of Takanaga's debut work "Challengers," and was adapted from a drama CD released in 2005 and an OVA released in 2010. The anime was adapted from a drama CD released in 2010 to an OVA released in 2010, with Kosuke Toriumi playing Tetsuhiro Morinaga, the younger wanker Angel, and Hikaru Midorikawa playing Soichi Tatsumi, the older tyrant.

It is interesting to note that amongst the deep-rooted favorites such as "Tsubaru Tori ha Habananai The clouds gather" (No. 5), "Doukyusei" (No. 8), and "Junjou Romantica" (No. 8), this year there were also works with seemingly colorful characters, such as "Gakuen Hansome" (No. 6) and "Yarichin Bitch Club" (No. 8). These two works, which have been the talk of the town for their unique character designs on the one hand and the punchy titles on the other, are recommended for those who want to watch interesting BL works without thinking too much about the details.

This year's dark horse is "Spiritpact," which came in at No. 4, after being outside the top 10 in the BL Anime Popularity Polls conducted in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and now it is suddenly ranked here. In the first season, the main character, Yang Jinghua, is involved in a car accident and meets Hatsuki Hei, with whom she entrusts her life. In the second season, the story of Hanji Hee's past, which could not be fully told in the first season, is depicted. With the recent popularity of fantasy works set in China, such as "The Magician's Taoist Master" and "The Gift of Heavenly Gifts," it is no wonder that this work has been ranked in the top ten.

Also at No. 6, "I like what I like, so I can't help it! is a pioneer of terrestrial BL animation, and its ranking is not too much to say that it is the originator of boys' love adventure games.

The results of all the votes, including those for the 11th place and below, can be found here, so why don't you take this opportunity to check them out?
