The TV anime "The Rise of the Shield Hero: Season 2," which will begin airing on April 13, 2022 (Wed.), has released the synopsis, advance cut, and trailer for the second episode "Reikame no Foothold.

The "Rise of the Shield Hero" is a popular novel by Aneko Yusagi, which was first published on the novel submission site "Shosetsu-kaerou" (Novelist) and later published in book form by MF Books. The first TV anime season aired in January 2019, and the long-awaited "Season 2" began airing on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

＜Introduction＞
Naofumi Iwatani, an ordinary college student, is summoned to another world as one of the Four Sacred Heroes, the "Shield Hero".
Although he was falsely accused and suffered numerous persecutions, he joined forces with his dear friends, Raphtalia, Firo, and Melty, to protect people from the "Wave," a calamity that threatens the world.
Shobun regained his honor and gained his own territory with the help of Queen Merlomarck and his successes.
He was now ready to fight the coming wave again.
However, in the Land of the Reigame, located to the east of Merlomarck, it was confirmed that the Reigame, a monster that brings about unprecedented disasters, had returned.
Shobun receives a request from the Queen to defeat the Reiki, and heads for Reiki with his new companion Licia.
While the allied forces are assembling, Shouwen is suddenly confronted by Ost-Houli, the regent and wife of the King of Linggui Kingdom.
She informed him of the existence of the person who illegally revived the turtle. Will he be able to defeat the turtle and get to the mastermind behind it?
In order to protect what is important to them, the heroes of the shield stand up once again.
