Akiba Research Institute conducted a poll from March 28 to April 11, 2022, titled "Which anime was interesting? Winter 2022 Anime Popularity Poll" from March 28 to April 11, 2022. In the "2022 Winter Anime Expectations Poll" held at the end of last year, "Shinkage no Kyojin The Final Season Part 2" and "Demon Slayer Yuukaku-hen" ranked high, but in this poll held after the broadcasts ended, youth and romantic comedy series took the top spots.

The winner was "Karakajite no Takagi-san 3," the third season of the popular romantic comedy series " Karakajite no Takagi-san," which was ranked second in the interim announcement on March 29, but has remained stable at the top since the voting began. On the last day of voting, "Asa-chan no Sailor Fuku" passed "Sono Kiseidoll wa Koi ni Suru" to take second place. This work depicts the adolescence of a junior high school girl, Asukikoji, who tries her best to make friends, and her classmates. It is so pure and transparent that one wonders if there is such a thing as a "purification anime" genre. The way the characters turn their heads, the way their skirts sway, and the retro countryside backgrounds are all well-done.
Manatsu Murakami, who plays the role of Asukouji, was voted second in Akiba Research Institute's "2022 Winter Anime Lead Female Voice Actor Popularity Poll," and we look forward to seeing more of her work in the future.

Next up was "Sono Kisekae Ningyo wa Koi ni Suru" by Cloverworks, the same production company as "Asa-chan no Sailor Fuku," in third place, with works by the same production company vying for the top spot. The main character, Uminu Kitagawa (CV. Hena Naota), an otaku who is both a gal and a cosplay enthusiast with a cute gap between shyness and fear, received high support as the overwhelming heroine.
The respect between otaku with different hobbies, the cosplay "aru" (including the lower half of the body), and the high quality drawings of the cosplayers have made this work popular overseas as well. The story ends with the exciting relationship between Kaimu and Gojo, the boy in charge of making her costume, and gives a sense of a sequel.

In fourth place is the fishing anime "Slow Loop," which was also ranked third in the "2022 Winter Anime Expectations Poll" held at the end of last year. This outdoor work from the same "Manga Time Kirara" series as "Yuru Can△" attracted attention from early on. The staff includes a person in charge of "fishing scene direction," and one can sense their dedication to the project.
One of the features of the story is the family situation of two high school girls who suddenly become "sisters" one day. The audience can enjoy fishing and camping scenes in a relaxed atmosphere, and the relationships between family members and friends, such as when they have a falling out and have to make up with each other, are a nice spice that makes the viewer feel warm and fuzzy.

And although it was not ranked in the "2022 Winter Anime Expectations Poll," "Heike Monogatari" came in 5th place this time. After the start of the broadcast, the article was well read by Akiba Research Institute, and it can be said that the actual quality of the anime has increased its fan base. Perhaps the greatest success of the series was that it made the Heike people, including Kiyomori who is often treated as a villain, humorous and friendly characters, which were played by a wide range of talented voice actors such as Aoi Yuuki and Shigeru Chiba, who starred in the series, and made the audience feel attached to them.
The final episode was especially well received as a masterpiece, with the "Battle of Dannoura" vividly depicting the process of each individual making a choice between life and death on the boat, a choice that would remain with them for days after watching it. The fact that the broadcast date was accidentally set on March 23, the actual date of the battle of Dannoura, also attracted attention.

The ranking below No. 6 was dominated by otherworldly and fantasy works, with No. 7 "Mundane Occupation de Sekai Saikyou 2nd season" receiving a lot of hits on Akiba Research Institute for its synopsis of each episode, and the betrayal of the characters was also a topic of excitement. Kuroizu-san of the Monster Development Department" came in at No. 9, but also featured appearances by actual local heroes and narration by a well-known tokusatsu actor. The passion to entertain viewers was supported by tokusatsu fans. Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2," which was popular for its cute characters' adventures and attracted a lot of attention before its broadcast, landed in 10th place this time.
