Overlap Novels' "The Unwanted Immortal Adventurer," which has sold more than 1.4 million copies, will finally be adapted into an anime!

It was announced today, Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the "Overlap Bunko 9th Anniversary Online Event," that "The Unwanted Immortal Adventurer" will be adapted into an anime.

The series began serialization on the web novel submission site "Shosetsu-kaerou" (Novelist's Letter) and quickly grew in popularity. The series has sold more than 1.4 million copies in total (paper + electronic).

The decision to make an anime adaptation was announced at the "Overlap Bunko 9th Anniversary Online Event" held on April 17 (Sun.), 2022, along with a PV.

The story begins when Lent, a failed adventurer, encounters a "dragon" in a labyrinth and is eaten, but awakens as a "skeleton," the weakest monster in the world. In order to become stronger, Lento fights against powerful monsters and encounters many mysteries. It is a dark fantasy with a profound story and a well-crafted worldview.

In addition to a congratulatory comment from Yu Okano, the author of the original story, Jai An, who is in charge of the original illustrations, sent an illustration to commemorate the decision to animate the story.
