As the Japanese Animation's anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" will celebrate its 1,500th episode on May 1 (Sun.), a one-hour special will be broadcast from 6:00 p.m. on the same day. Kinichi Hagimoto will make a guest appearance as himself.

Chibimaruko-chan" was first serialized by Momoko Sakura in "Ribon" in 1986. In 2021, the 35th anniversary of the serialization, "Chibi Maruko-chan" will commemorate the 35th anniversary of the original work! The first episode of the TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan" was broadcast on January 7, 1990, and will reach its 1,500th episode on May 1, 2022! Kinichi Hagimoto will make a guest appearance as himself in the memorable episode. Mr. Hagimoto, known affectionately as "Kin-chan," has appeared many times in the "Chibimaruko-chan" storyline, but this will be the first time he makes a guest appearance as himself. Although she has experience dubbing for the foreign animated series "Wallace and Gromit," this will also be her first appearance as a voice actor in a Japanese animated film.

The 1,500th episode will air two films: "Maruko and the Mountain Cherry Trees," about beautiful cherry trees, and "Maruko, I Want to Meet Kin-chan," about her feelings for her idol, Kin-chan. Ms. Hagimoto, who did the dubbing for "Maruko, Kin-chan Wanna See You," is a former host of the popular TV show "Kin-chan no Don to Daremo! (broadcast on Fuji Television from 1975 to 1980), which he hosted.

Synopsis

One day, Maruko and Tama-chan are walking along the outskirts of town when they see a magnificent cherry tree with Mt.
They were so impressed by its beauty that they ate their lunch under the cherry tree. Maruko thinks of the mysterious cherry tree as a friend, as if it were a part of their conversation. Tama-chan calls it "Maru-chan's tree," and they talk about it in the classroom, and they decide to hold a joint birthday party for Maruko and Fujiki around the time of green leaves.
After the happy birthday party, Maruko trips on a fallen branch of the cherry tree and gets injured. It is a mountain cherry tree that is over 300 years old. She is told that the cherry tree has certain "plans". When Maruko hears about it...

Maruko wants to meet Kin-chan.
Maruko and her friends, who love interesting things, are always talking about the TV program they saw yesterday, "Let's try Kin-chan's Don and I! The class is also talking about "Kin-chan" as a big fan of the show. Kin-chan" is very popular in the class.

How did you feel when you got the offer?
I couldn't believe it. I didn't think Kin-chan would appear in the animation as he is. I am very grateful. At first I thought it would be just Kin-chan's voice saying "Let's do it with a bang. But when I saw the video, I thought, "You don't have to do that. I was afraid to do that. But seeing the real Kin-chan in a different world, it made me want to meet Momoko Sakura. I feel like saying thank you very much.

How was it playing Kin-chan in the anime?
I get nervous when I hold the script. I was surprised. When I think about it, it's not like I have to read the script. I realized that after the show. I must have been very nervous. I was nervous.
