Shokugan Review] Sing! Dance! Make, make, make the "Minipla Ryotaro Sentai Series 01: Don Momotaro Alter"! The proportions, color coding, and range of motion are off the charts!

More than a month has passed since the start of the broadcast of "Goutarou Sentai Don Brothers," and episodes that delve deeper into the characters than ever before in the Super Sentai series are now unfolding. Are you enjoying it, too?

I am sure that many of you have made "Goutarou Sentai Don Bros." your morning routine every Sunday, with its strong characters including Momoi Tarou, the natural-born leader (but with a heartache in his past).

From such "Ryotaro Sentai Don Brothers," the annual Mini-Pla product lineup has begun. The first product is the "Don Momotaro Alter!

At first glance, it looks like a robot, but it is actually "Alter," a special avatar that Don Momotaro changed to Alter with the power of "Avatarou Gear Alter. Furthermore, by combining with previous Super Sentai Alter, this form is like a mass of possibilities, allowing for a variety of fighting styles.

So let's get started with a review of the Mini-Pla "Don Momotaro Alter!

The package depicts the heroic figure of Don Momotaro Alter! The design is the same for all six in the series.

On the back are various poses. We are looking forward to the completion of the product!

Don Momotaro Alter will be completed when all 6 types of the series are assembled. The six different types for a single robot is quite an extravagant specification.

Let's take a look at the runner.

There are 5 colors for the molding. For a toy plastic model, this seems to be a fairly complete set.

Of course, one ramune is also included!

So here is the completed Don Momotaro Alter!

Assembly time is about 30-40 minutes. It's about the same as building the HG series of Gundam plastic models.

You can make it stand with its body bent in an "S" shape.

Here is a shot of the figure carrying a weapon on its back.

The overall finish is sleek and heroic, and it looks really cool!

The molded colors are almost perfectly color-coded, and the level of completion is amazing just by assembling the figure!

It's a bit impressive.

Next, let's check out the range of movement.

First, the shoulder armor, which is a feature of the Mini-Platform "Don Motaro Alter," can be moved quite flexibly with the combination of a swinging arm extending from the shoulder and a movable shaft.

The left side is the movable bearing and the right side is the fixed bearing for posing. Fit the arm's axis according to your preference.

Right shoulder with armor connected to the movable bearing. The left shoulder is with the armor connected to the fixed bearing.

The arm can be raised straight up. When connected to a fixed bearing, the arm can only be raised so far laterally due to interference with the shoulder armor. ......

When connected to a movable shaft, the arms can be raised up to this level!

Both shoulders have a drawer structure, allowing the arms to be pulled forward as far as possible.

The movable arms are quite impressive, with movable shoulders, rollable upper arms, movable elbows, movable inner and outer wrists, and ball-jointed hand parts, so you may be thinking, "How many movable parts are there? I want to say, "How many movable parts are there?

The elbows are double-jointed and can be bent quite deeply. If you look closely, you can see that some of the arms and shoulders are "grained" (rough surface treatment). The added fine details increase the density of the information.

The range of motion of the wrists has also been increased considerably.

Three types of hand parts are provided: a standard one that can hold a weapon, a flat hand, and a clenched fist.

The most notable is the flat hand part!

In addition to the ball-jointed wrist connection, there is also a movable part on the palm side of the hand. ......

You can even pose her like this, with a big smile on her face! Yay~!

The waist also has a movable part, allowing the figure to tilt sideways, twist at the waist, and even bend forward.

The legs are also fully articulated!

The hip joints can roll forward and backward and expand on axis, the thighs can roll and rotate, the knees can rotate on axis, the ankles can move forward and back on axis on the shin side, and the feet can roll and rotate on axis inward, allowing poses that look like a real human body.

The toes are also bendable. The Achilles tendon can be extended for poses such as stepping on the ground.

The neck can be raised and lowered.

The neck can also be rotated. By tilting the chin up, the head can rotate 360°.

The sunglasses are a distinctive feature of the figure, and you can choose whether to leave them molded or apply stickers with highlights to them. In this case, I assembled the figure with the molded color.

There are bearings on the buttocks so it can be connected to a stand.

And the weapons.

The main weapon, the sword, is provided with seals on both sides and looks great.

A Don Blaster is also included. Combined with the sword, the figure can be posed as a gankata.

Let's see her in some poses!

She can even stand on her knees!

She looks like she's about to leap at you!

Hold-up pose!

Holding the Don Blaster for a snappy pose!

The figure moves so well that no matter what pose you have it strike, it will always look cool.

Quiet fighting pose.

Nerichagi!

Sitting in seiza to unify the spirit.

Another Peach form can be transformed without replacement!

The Mini-Pla version of Don Momotaro Alter also comes with a display stand.

As with previous Miniplas, a sticker with the "Minipla" logo, title, character name, etc. is included.

Don't you feel a traditional atmosphere, somewhat like May dolls? Perhaps it is because the motif is based on the Japanese folk tale "Momotaro.

Incidentally, the display stand can be turned upside down to store unused weapons and hand parts, so you don't have to worry about accidentally losing them!

Finally, here is a comparison of the Change Heroes version and the Mini-Pla version.

The Mini-Plastic version (left) has a smaller head and a sleeker overall impression. The Change Heroes version (right) looks sturdier and more powerful. It may be a good idea to separate the MiniPla version for displaying them in poses and the Change Heroes version for playing with them by moving them around.

Peach form.

The left side is the Mini-Pla version, and the right side is the Change Heroes version. The size of the shoulder armor is different, so the impression is surprisingly different.

So, this was the Mini-Plastic "Don Momotaro Alter!

It is no exaggeration to say that the quality of this robot's movable plastic kit is now beyond the realm of a Shokugan.

This is sure to become an important kit in the history of Mini-Pla!

It is a highly recommended hobby without any complaints.

A second release has already been announced that will include "Tokkyu Parts," "Lupin Ranger Alter," and "Patranger Alter," and it seems that the scope of play will continue to expand with each new Alter that is released in the future.

The "Don Momotaro Alter" mini-plastic model is a must-have item that you must get as soon as you find it.

Keep your eyes on the future development of this series!
