The anime series is based on the manga "Tensei Tara Slyme Datta Koto" by Yasuki Kawakami, whose original story is by Fuse and whose manga is by Yasuki Kawakami. The story follows the adventures of the main character Rimuru, who is reincarnated as a slime in another world, along with his various friends. The unique characters, including Rimuru, and the powerful battle scenes that utilize unique skills have captured the hearts of many anime fans and gained popularity. Last year, it was also decided to produce the first theatrical version of this work, and fans' expectations are rising for its release in November 2022.
