The first Gundam plastic models using a new limestone-derived material "LIMEX" are now available! The first "Gundam Model KUN" will be included in the September issue of the men's fashion magazine "smart" on sale on July 25!

BANDAI SPIRITS has announced that "Gunpla-kun," the first plastic model of the Gundam series using LIMEX, a new material based on limestone, will be the first to be commercialized as a supplement to the September issue (July 25, 2022) of "smart," a men's fashion magazine published by Takarajima-sha, Inc. The "Gunpla-kun" will be commercialized for the first time.

Gunpla-kun" is a character created in August 2021 to convey the fun of Gunpla, and appeared as a guide to introduce the recycling activity of "Gunpla" in "Gundam R (Recycle) Operation" held in 2021 to raise interest in recycling through "Gundam Gunpla. The story is about the fun and wonderful experience of plastic modeling.
The story is about "Gunpla-kun" and "Zakupla-kun," who have a strong desire to spread the joy and splendor of plastic models around the world, and who amusingly confront people with their passion and selfishness.

⇒ "Gunpla-kun, Gundam Base Battle", a special TV version of "Gunpla-kun" that conveys the fun of plastic models, will be broadcast on March 21, 2022 (Monday, national holiday)!
⇒The TV program will not be a "build it and forget it" program, but rather a "learning material" that will explore the possibilities of plastic models. BANDAI SPIRITS will air "Why BANDAI SPIRITS is making mammoths into plastic models" (Hobby Industry Inside Vol. 77).

Gunpla-kun," a character who conveys the fun and appeal of Gunpla through various activities, has been selected as the first plastic model of the Gundam series using LIMEX.

The first "Gunpla-kun" plastic model will be a "painting model," which can be painted in any color using plastic model markers (sold separately).

The September issue of "smart," which will include the "Gunpla-kun" plastic model, will be available for pre-order on the Takarajima Channel from June 10, 2022 (Fri.) at noon, so be sure to check it out.
