The disastrous summer festival, Okaasan...Spring anime "Summertime Renda" reveals new character "Heine" & scene cuts from episode 5!

The TV anime "Summertime Renda," currently airing on TOKYO MX, Kansai Television, and other stations, has revealed new characters and an advance scene cut from the fifth episode to be broadcast on May 12 (Thursday).

Based on Yasunori Tanaka's manga "Summertime Renda," which has received a total of over 130 million PV on "Shonen Jump +". It is a time-traveling sci-fi suspense set on the island of Nittogashima in Wakayama. When the original work was completed, it was announced that it would be adapted into an anime and live-action series, and it became a trending topic on Twitter.

■New character revealed!
A new character "Heine" has been revealed. Heine is a mysterious existence in the form of a girl called "Okaasan" by the "shadows" and is casted by Misaki Hisano.

Ever since I started working as a voice actor, one of my goals was to play a scary role in an anime someday.
I am very grateful and happy to have been entrusted with the role of Heine.

Synopsis and advance cut】
■#05 "Vortex"
Shinpei's crisis is saved by a woman who was on the ferry with him. She identified herself as Ryunosuke Nagumo, a writer whom Shinpei admires, and said that she had come to rescue "Shinpei Amishiro. She also possessed a great deal of knowledge about "shadows.
Meanwhile, a massacre by "shadows" was taking place at a summer festival. Shinpei goes to help, but his friends are killed one after another. Soon, the "shadow" swallows everyone on the island...
