Sleipnir from Yutaka Izubuchi's legendary comic "Kishin Gensetsu Rune Masquerade" is now in plastic model form! Kaiyodo enters the plastic model business with the "ARTPLA" series! The 60th Shizuoka Hobby Show

The 60th Shizuoka Hobby Show is being held at Twinmesse Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture from May 11 (Wed) to 15 (Sun), 2022.

This event is one of the largest model and hobby events in Japan, held annually in Shizuoka Prefecture, where many model manufacturers gather. This year, a total of 80 companies + 2 organizations are exhibiting.

This year, the 11th and 12th are vendor invitation days, and the 13th is an invitation day for local elementary, junior high, and high school students to familiarize themselves with the modeling culture. The 14th and 15th are open to the public.

In this issue, we introduce Kaiyodo's new plastic model brand "ARTPLA" series!
Surprisingly, this is the first time in KAIYODO's long history that the company has entered the plastic model business. The lineup is also maniacal, as is typical of KAIYODO.
KAIYODO is also planning to refine the figures and garage kits it has released in the past into plastic kits, and the first product will be sculptor Katsuo Takuma's "PATLABOR" series.

What caught my eye more than anything else was this Sleipnir.
This mecha, which appears in creator Yutaka Izubuchi's legendary comic "Kishin Gensetsu Rune Masquerade," is an iconic robot that reigns as a god-like presence in his works.

I can't wait to assemble it with my own hands!

The popular "Maschinen Krieger" series is also included in the lineup.
