New TV anime "Urusei Yatsura" to start airing in October 2022! First KV & PV revealed! Wataru Takagi as Cherry and Miyuki Sawashiro as Sakura!

Urusei Yatsura," which is to be adapted into a completely new TV anime, will be broadcast on Fuji Television's "Noitamina" and other stations from October 2022. In "Urusei Yatsura," Rumiko Takahashi's impressive debut work, Ataru Moroboshi, the "most evil" high school student on earth, and Rum, a beautiful "demon girl" from outer space, meet and everything begins with their encounter. Everything begins with their encounter. Fearless, in love, but somewhat sad... Ataru and Ram's boy-meets-girl relationship is colored by characters from all over the galaxy in this romantic comedy.

Directed by Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura, who worked on "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Golden Wind," with series composition by Yuko Kakihara of "Hataraku Cell," character design by Naoyuki Asano of "Osomatsu-san" and "Don't Mess with the Video Lab! Naoyuki Asano of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" series, and david production of "Flames of Fire" series are in charge of animation production. Hiroshi Kamiya and Sumire Uesaka will play the roles of the hero, Ataru Moroboshi, aka "Darling," and the heroine, Ram, a rare couple.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan, the selected episodes of the original story will be adapted into a completely new TV anime series to be broadcast on Fuji TV's "Noitamina" and other channels over a four-cour period, with the first season scheduled to be broadcast in 2022.

The first key visual is a design of Ataru standing in the center of the road and Ram floating upside down in the air, looking at each other. Although the townscape, which is likely to be the setting of the story, is depicted, the houses are blurred out and only Ataru and Ram are in focus, making the visual "emo" and "cute" at the same time. I am attracted to the characters because there are many characters with two sides to them, such as a clumsy guy who looks handsome but is actually handsome, a cute but powerful guy, or a beautiful but gluttonous guy. I am fascinated by the characters. It seems to be a slapstick comedy, but there are also some serious stories in it, and it is like a Kintarame of entertainment that can be enjoyed no matter where you cut it (laugh).

Q2: What is the appeal of Cherry, and what do you look forward to about playing the role of Cherry?
He is a plague, if you can call him that (laughs), but when he doesn't appear, I feel a little sad, and I can't help but hate him. It is impossible to imitate Ichiro Nagai's exquisite timing and the way he played the character so charmingly, but I hope to enjoy myself and stir things up so that I can be a spice in the story.

I was so impressed by the energy of Mr. Toshio and his seniors (and the cuteness of Ram-chan, who is soft and fluffy and on another level of cuteness), that I fell on my butt. I'm here...!
