Hotel New Otani, Tokyo, will collaborate with Makoto Shinkai's "Garden of Words" from June 1 (Wed) to July 31 (Sun), 2022. Last year, the event sold out in three days.

The "Garden of Leaves of Words" is a tale of "loneliness and sadness" that begins in a chapter of the Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves) by director Makoto Shinkai, whose "visual literature of the digital age" has captivated the world. The film depicts a boy aspiring to become a shoemaker who meets a mysterious older woman in a Japanese garden during the rainy season, and their love and emotional turmoil, overlaid with the various expressions of the rain.

The "Garden of Words" and Hotel New Otani (Tokyo) have collaborated for the first time in a year to offer the "Cinematic Stay: Garden of Words Collaboration Plan".
This year, a refreshing Patisserie SATSUKI "Pure Melon Jelly" will be offered as a bonus, and the collaboration menu, which was popular last year, has been enhanced. In addition to the beautiful Japanese garden, the rooms also offer a view of Shinjuku, the setting of the movie, so you will surely be immersed in the world of the film.

This plan includes a collaboration room inspired by the fresh greenery of "Kotoba no Niwa". The room is decorated with artwork from the film, and panels from many memorable scenes are on display, allowing guests to enjoy the world of "Garden of Words" throughout their stay.
As a welcome amenity, "beer and chocolate," items mentioned in the film, are available in the room (can be changed to soft drinks).
