The anime "Sprigan," which will begin distribution on June 18 (Sat), has released a synopsis of the first episode and advance scene cuts.

Sprigan" (original story by Takashi Gehiro / drawings by Ryoji Minagawa) is an adventure drama about Yu Mikamiinae, a special agent of "Arkham" who seals the legacy of a super-ancient civilization, as "Sprigan". The series was first published in 1989 in Weekly Shōnen Sunday. The legendary manga was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1989 to 1996 and has sold more than 10 million copies in total.

The Netflix series anime "Spriggan," newly produced by david production, will finally be distributed exclusively worldwide on June 18 (Sat). It will consist of 6 episodes, each about 45 minutes long.

The first episode features Rie Yamabishi (CV: Kobe Mitsuho), Koichi Morobaba (CV: Narita Ken), Victor Strohloff, and others, and is full of action and ancient romance, using both 2D and 3DCG animation.

The ancient ruins of a "fire shrine" are discovered in the sea of trees at the foot of Mt. Arkham invites Rie Yamabishi, a linguistic genius, from the U.S. to decipher the letters in the ruins, but special forces are sent in from two major powers who are after the power hidden in the "Shrine of Fire".
Yuu Mikami, the "Spriggan", heads for the "Shrine of Fire" while protecting Rie from the oncoming enemies, but she is stolen by Koichi Moroha of the SVR, allowing him to activate the ruins.

The film is a sequel to the Netflix series "Spritz".
