Sega announced that the Mega Drive Mini 2 home video game console will be released on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

The "Mega Drive Mini 2" is a completely redesigned version of the "Mega Drive Mini," the definitive mini-hardware console, which was the first console of its kind in Japan in 2022. The "Mega Drive Mini 2" is a new hardware that is much smaller and more powerful than the "Mega Drive 2" with a new design that replicates the "Mega Drive 2".
The new hardware also includes more than 50 popular games, more than the 42 games included in the previous "Mega Drive Mini". In addition, "bonus titles" that were not released at the time have been added to the collection, making it a volume that cannot be played to its fullest.

In addition, titles for the "Mega CD," an expanded power-up unit that allows users to enjoy CD-ROM games on the "Mega Drive," are finally included. With video playback and voice acting, users can enjoy more luxurious and voluminous games.
