The Last of Us Part I" is coming to PS5 in a full remake! Prequel "Left Behind" also included!

Sony Interactive Entertainment will release "The Last of Us Part I" for PlayStation 5 on September 2, 2022.

First released for PS3 in 2013, the survival actioner "The Last of Us" won more than 200 gaming awards worldwide. The Last of Us Part II, released in June 2020, sold over 4 million copies in just 3 days, making it the fastest-selling PS4 title ever at the time.

The Last of Us Part I" is a full remake of "The Last of Us". In addition to the main single-player game, the game includes the prequel "Left Behind," which focuses on the events that changed the lives of Ellie and her best friend, Riley.

The story takes place in the United States. A pandemic caused by a mysterious parasitic fungus has decimated the population and destroyed cities.
Twenty years later. Twenty years later, the world is crawling with infected people everywhere, and the war between survivors over supplies continues unabated. Joel, a "courier" by trade, is hired to take Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of the military quarantine zone.

PS5 delivers unprecedented immersion

This title has been created in every detail with the PS5 engine using the latest technology from the development studio Naughty Dog. The synergistic effect of more realistic lighting and atmosphere, intricate details, and reconstructed and more realistic landscapes make for a dramatically improved playing experience. While faithfully reproducing the original story, the game offers an unprecedented sense of immersion through enhanced gameplay, improved controls, expanded accessibility, improved effects, and more realistic exploration and combat.
The classic stories of yesteryear can now be enjoyed with more realistic and powerful visuals using the latest technology.

This title is also fully compatible with the DualSense wireless controller functionality, and haptic feedback is available for all weapons. Not only does this bring combat to life, but it also brings the environment to life, such as the sensation of light rain or the feeling of stepping on snow.
In addition, adaptive triggers enhance the immersion of combat by creating trigger resistance and recoil when firing, such as with the main character Joel's revolver and Ellie's bow.

In addition, thanks to the PS5 console's ultra-fast SSD, the initial loading of the game is instantaneous, and the game can be played seamlessly thereafter. Play can be instantly resumed from where the story was interrupted or from a specific battle/chapter.

The game will be available in two formats: a Standard Edition (packaged/downloadable) and a Digital Deluxe Edition (downloadable) that includes early unlockables such as various items that can be used in the game. Both will include bonus supplements and bonus parts that can be used in the game as an early purchase bonus for the packaged version and a pre-order bonus for the downloadable version.

Pre-orders for the downloadable version began today, June 10 (Fri.) at the PlayStation Store. Pre-orders for the packaged version will also be accepted at PlayStation stores nationwide and on various e-commerce sites.
