Akasaka Aka & Mengo Yokojari's "The Child of the Guesser" to be adapted into an anime! Teaser visual and comments released!

An anime adaptation of the manga "The Child of the Guess" serialized in Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha) has been announced.

The anime adaptation of the popular comic series in Weekly Young Jump by the splendid tag team of Akasa Akasaka of "Kaguya-sama ga Kesshirasai" and Mengo Yokojari of "Kuzu no Honkai" is finally in the works!

The story begins when Goro, an obstetrician and gynecologist working in a provincial city, is visited one day by Ai, his "favorite" idol. She is harboring a forbidden secret, and her destiny begins to change after such a "worst" encounter with .......

Since its serialization, the series has gained popularity for its worldview, storyline, mystery elements, and novelty in depicting the entertainment world from a completely new angle, with a total of more than 3 million copies sold. This work has attracted much attention, winning first place in the "Next Coming Manga Awards 2021.

The teaser visual for the anime released today shows a striking back view of the main character, Ai. The director is Daisuke Hiramaki ("SELECTION PROJECT") and the series composition is by Hitoshi Tanaka ("Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Club"), character design by Kanna Hirayama ("Girlfriend, I Borrow"), and animation production by Animation Studio ("Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru"). The quality of the drawings is one of the best in Japan, and depicts the unique worldview of this work.
