TV anime "VINLAND SAGA" SEASON 2 will start airing on TOKYO MX and BS11 in January 2023. The video and cast comments have been released.

VINLAND SAGA" depicts a "true warrior story (saga)" set in and around northern Europe at the beginning of the 11th century. The original manga (written by Makoto Yukimura) has sold more than 7 million copies and the TV anime has won three awards including the grand prize at the "Anime Trending Awards 2020".

SEASON 2, which will be produced by MAPPA, will depict the main character Torfin, who is heartbroken after the death of his father's revenge enemy, Asheraad, and how he lives as a "slave. In the main visual released this time, new characters such as "Einar," with whom Torufin will live as a "slave" on the farm, and "Arnaiz," a woman who serves the landowner, were unveiled.

The first PV, a project movie including interviews with the cast and staff, and cast comments including Shunsuke Takeuchi and other new cast members have also arrived, so please feel the enthusiasm for the broadcast in January 2023.

Tolfin (CV. Yusho Kamimura)
He is a young Viking who has been on the battlefield with the sole purpose of avenging his father's death, Asheraad.
However, he loses his purpose of revenge, and when he is banished from the battlefield, he finds himself reduced to a slave.
He has lost his hatred and will to fight, and has doubts about life.

Einar (CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi)
Born and raised in a farmhouse in Northern England, Einar has a strong sense of justice.
After losing his family in the war, he was sold as a slave to Ketil, and ends up working on his farm.
As he lives and sleeps with Torfin, who also works on the farm, they form a strong bond.

Thorgil (CV: Daisuke Kusunoki)
The eldest son of Ketil and former follower of Knut. He has a lot of blood in his veins,
