Legendary RPG is reborn in HD-2D! Squeeze's "Live Alive" modern and sci-fi trailers are now available!

Square Enix released a video about Nintendo Switch "Live Alive", which is scheduled to be released on July 22, 2022.

This title is a remake of "Live Alive" released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994, using "HD-2D" visual expression, a fusion of dots and 3DCG. It is up to the player to decide which of the seven stories, which differ in time period, protagonist, and gameplay, to play first and how to proceed.

Gosho Aoyama and other manga artists designed the characters that color each world. The game has been made easier to play in the modern era, while maintaining the same hot storyline, making it enjoyable for both those who have played the original and those who are new to the game.

This trailer, which focuses on the modern version of the eight scenarios, introduces the story of the main character "Hikatsu Takahara.
The fighter "Hikatsu Takahara," who has been training diligently, sets out on a journey of intense battles to master the most advanced techniques of all martial arts in order to become the "world's strongest fighter.


SF version Short Trailer
This trailer focuses on the SF version of the eight scenarios and introduces the story of the main character "Cube".
Cube, a robot created by engineer Kattoo, shares a spaceship with its crew on a voyage to Earth. Cube" is caught up in the tragedy that occurs in the confined space and the conflict between humans.


Kensuke Ushio, who has also arranged music for the anime "Heike Monogatari" and "Chainsaw Man," participated in the music arrangement of the science fiction version.

Character designs for each world are by manga artists including Gosho Aoyama, Osamu Ishiwata, Yoshinori Kobayashi, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Yumi Tamura, Yoshihide Fujiwara, and Ryoji Minagawa. The illustrations were newly drawn by Naoki Ikushima of "Octopath Traveler" fame. The music is fully supervised by Yoko Shimomura, who worked on the original music, and is more gorgeous and fully arranged.
