The movie "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Afterglow of Zeon" is a theatrical version of the Gundam OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory" which was highly acclaimed by Gundam fans. 13 of the OVAs (total time of about 6 hours and 30 minutes) were re-edited and combined into a 2-hour story. Takashi Imanishi is in charge of the composition.

The perspective of the story has been changed to that of the heroine Nina, and many new scenes have been added, including the colony reconstruction scene at the beginning of the film, the scene in the last scene where Nina's small boat passes by Kou's Gundam Prototype 3 GP03, and the scene where Nina talks with her father on the phone on the moon.

The film is also a must-see for fans as it fills in the blanks of history leading up to "Z Gundam," including the reasons for the rise of the Titans within the Federation Forces.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Afterglow of Zeon

<Storyline> The year is 0083 of the Universal Century.
It is the year 0083 of the cosmic century. Three years have passed since the One Year War, and people were about to put the memories of the battle into oblivion when the incident occurred. Annabelle Gato, a member of the Zeon remnants known as "Deller's Fleet," had a nuclear-equipped Gundam Prototype 2, the GP02A, stolen from her. Kou Uraki, pilot of the first Gundam prototype GP01, and Nina Purpleton, an SE from Anaheim Electronics, were swallowed up in the torrent of battle that had begun once again. The two boarded it and went up into space. However, Deller's Fleet was about to make its move, adding Seema Galahau to its ranks. A speech by Aiguille Dellers echoed behind Koh, who was defeated by Seema. It was a declaration of war by Deller's Fleet, signaling the start of Operation Stardust. Devastated by his defeat, Koh rested himself on the moon Von Braun. His confidence and pride as a pilot are restored when he meets Kerry Reznor, a former Zeon soldier.
