Capcom Announces Production of "Dragon's Dogma 2! First new numbered title since 2012

On June 17, Capcom announced the production of "Dragon's Dogma 2," the latest in the "Dragon's Dogma" series.

The "Dragon's Dogma" series is an action game set in a fantasy world of swords and sorcery, where players explore a vast open world. 2012 saw the release of the first title for home video games.

The highly flexible action and social elements, such as the ability to lend and borrow friends online, have been well received globally, and the series has sold a total of 6.2 million units (as of March 31, 2022).

In 2020, the original animation "Dragon's Dogma" will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Netflix. In May 2022, the series celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Dragon's Dogma 2" will be the first numbered title since the first "Dragon's Dogma" released in 2012. The game is currently under development using the unique "RE ENGINE" development environment to satisfy both existing fans of the series as well as new users.
