Summer Anime "Welcome to the Classroom of the Supreme Performance" PV and new characters "Hiyori Shiina" and "Masashi Nagumo" revealed! Broadcasting starts on July 4

The key visual, PV, and new characters have been revealed from "Welcome to the Classroom of the Supreme Being, 2nd Season," which will begin airing on July 4 (Mon.) on TOKYO MX and other stations.

The original story was published by MF Bunko J in 2015 and won the first place in the "This Light Novel is Amazing! The first season of the TV anime aired in July 2017 and drew attention for the thrilling human drama and thrilling storyline of the students in a prestigious meritocratic school where "points" are assigned. In the second season and the third season, all of the first-year students will be animated.

Key visual and PV revealed!

The key visual of the 2nd Season is a confrontation between Kiyotaka Ayakouji of Class D and Shou Ryuuzono of Class C, symbolizing the battle of wits and tactics that will unfold in the future. The PV shows the scene on the luxury cruise ship on the way back from the special desert island survival test at the end of the first season.

Tokyo Metropolitan High School for Advanced Education.
It is a paradise-like school that boasts a 100% higher education and employment rate, and provides the equivalent of 100,000 yen in points every month, but in reality it is a school that places supremacy on merit, where only a few students with outstanding grades receive favorable treatment.
Kiyotaka Ayakoji, who is assigned to Class D, a class full of problem children, cooperates with his classmate Suzune Horikita, who is aiming for promotion to Class A. After a survival test on a deserted island, Kiyotaka finds himself in the middle of a luxury resort. New characters "Hiyori Shiina" and "Masashi Nagumo" appear!

Two new characters will appear in the 2nd Season: "Hiyori Shiina," played by Riyo Takahashi, a member of the 1st year C class, and "Masa Nagumo," played by Souma Saito, the representative of the 2nd year A class and a candidate for the next student council. Please look forward to seeing how they will perform.

The 2nd Season Blu-ray & DVD (4 volumes) will be released on October 26, 2022. The first volume includes a newly written novel by the original author, Akio Kinugasa, titled "Welcome to the Classroom of the Supreme Principle of Merit" (0). The cover, frontispiece, and illustrations were drawn by Tomose Shunsaku, the original character designer, and the volume is as large as the original novel, so don't miss it.
The second volume comes with a box for storing all the volumes, newly illustrated by Mr. Tomose Shunsaku.

In addition, those who pre-order the first volume at participating stores will receive, on a first-come, first-served basis, an A3 clear poster featuring an original character design by Tomose Shunsaku. The number of copies is limited, so early reservation is recommended.
