Production of Season 2 of the anime "BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls' Story-" has been decided! PV & teaser visual released! A story of two girls who create a whirlwind in the world of women's golf!

Namco Bandai Pictures has announced the production of Season 2, a sequel to the original animated work "BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls' Story-," which is scheduled to air on TV Tokyo and other networks from January 2023.

BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls' Story-," a coming-of-age story about two female golfers, was broadcast from April to June 2022 on six TV Tokyo network stations. It is the "world's first" original anime series themed on women's golf, based on the recent success of Japanese professional golfers and the popularity of golf as a sport of the Corona disaster.

The main characters, Eve and Aoi Amawashi, are played by popular voice actors Akari Kito and Asami Seto. The series is popular among many anime fans for its appealing characters, profound and unpredictable storyline, and unique production style.

In Season 1, Eve, who earns her living by betting on golf in the European country of Nafres, meets Aoi, an elite golfer, and Eve's confrontation with underworld golfers ....... Then, Eve is targeted by the mafia as a result of her golf game. The story follows Eve's journey to Japan, where she joins Aoi's golf club at Raiou Girls Academy.

Season 1 is directed by Takayuki Inagaki ("Jewelpet Sunshine," "Time Bokan 24"), with series composition by Yosuke Kuroda ("Mobile Suit Gundam 00," "My Hero Academia"). Toru Inoue, a professional coach and the Japanese national coach for the World Junior Golf Championships, will supervise the golf in the production. The opening theme song was sung by Kamie Hirose, who has written numerous hit songs.

Season 2 is scheduled to air in January 2023 on TV Tokyo and other stations. The heated matches against the best teams in the "All Japan High School Girls Golf Doubles Championship" and the secrets surrounding Eve and Aoi Amawashi that will be revealed - watch out for the furious developments as the stage is expanded to the world.
