New information about the "DEEP IN ABYSS" mode has been released from "Made in Abyss: The Rengoshi Who Aimed for Darkness" for PS4/Switch/PC (Steam), which will be released on September 1, 2022.
The Steam version will be released on September 3.

The second anime season of "Made in Abyss" will air this summer. Made in Abyss: Yami wo Motometa Rensei" by Spike Chunsoft is an action RPG in which players themselves aim for the depths of the Abyss world. In the "DEEP IN ABYSS" mode, in which you take on the Abyss as a rookie prospector, you collect relics and complete various quests while advancing through the main quests in which an original story unfolds. The player gains rewards such as money and experience to develop his or her character.
As experience is accumulated, the explorer's level rises, allowing him or her to challenge deeper levels of the Abyss.

■Preparation for Exploration / City of Aus
In the town of Aus, the base of cavemen, they prepare to challenge the Abyss by accepting quests and purchasing items necessary for their exploration.
As an apprentice red flute player, you will mainly receive assignments from Girio at the Bercello Orphanage, but as your flute grade increases, the number of assignments you will receive will also increase.

This is the headquarters of the union that provides work to speleologists. Various quests can be ordered.
(2) Grotto tool store
Sells items essential for adventures, such as ice axes, ropes, and bandages.

A store where relics brought back from the Abyss are appraised and purchased. Money and experience can be obtained.
4) Raffy's store
A spice store run by "Raffy," the wife of Black Flute Haborg. You can buy ingredients and spices.

The Abyssal Cave
The Abyssal Cave is a dangerous place to explore, where you must avoid dangerous creatures and unstable terrain. If you are defeated by a large protozoan, each creature will cause a horrific game over performance. ......

The main objectives within the Abyss are the main quest, which is an original storyline, the union quest, which can be ordered at the cavemen's union headquarters, and the collection of relics.

The main character has three stats: "stamina," "satiety," and "stamina. Both satiety and stamina decrease as the player performs certain actions, but while stamina is automatically recovered, satiety must be eaten to recover.
Once satiety reaches zero, stamina cannot be restored, so it is important to eat frequently to maintain satiety.

In addition to the three statuses, the player must also manage a number of other factors such as the surrounding environment, the health of the protagonist, the amount of food remaining, the durability of tools, the weight of luggage, and so on.
The player must pay attention to these factors and decide whether to proceed with the expedition, turn back to the surface, and sometimes even what to bring back, in order to act appropriately.

If the player becomes overweight, his or her movement speed is greatly reduced. Mining and attacks become impossible.
