Theatrical advance screenings of the anime "Soukyu no Fafner BEHIND THE LINE" and remastered screenings of "HEAVEN AND EARTH" have been announced. Key visuals and staff members were also announced.

The science fiction anime series "Fafner of the Blue Sky" depicts boys and girls boarding the humanoid weapon "Fafner" and risking their lives against an unknown entity called "Festum. The story that spans 17 years came to an end with the 12-episode "Soukyu no Fafner the Beyond," which was screened in advance in theaters from 2019 to 2009, attracting a great deal of attention.

The new anime "Soukyu no Fafner BEHIND THE LINE" is a "peaceful spin-off" work that was promised to be produced at the "Minashiro Soji Birthday Festival 2017" in the past. The story takes place in Ryugu Island, where peace was restored in the theatrical version of "Heaven and Earth," before being drawn back into battle in the second season of the anime "Exodus. The film depicts the casual but unforgettable days spent by the people of Ryugujima, including Ikki Makabe and Soji Minashiro, who are reunited with each other.

A special advance screening of the film will be held at theaters. The key visual depicts Ikki, Soji, Shinya Tomi, Kanon Hazama, and others against the backdrop of the well-known "Cafe Rakuen". As a spin-off that depicts the time before "EXODUS," it has been announced that not only Soji and Kanon, but also Hiroto Douma, Taki Nishio, and other characters who lost their lives in the previous series will appear in the film.

The UHD version of the movie, which is only included in the "Sokyu no Fafner" series ultimate box set, will be reformatted for theatrical use.
