On June 30, 2022, "Mobile Police Patlabor Character Book 01 SIDE:ENEMIES" was released by Genco Co.

More than 30 years have passed since the start of the project, "Mobile Police Patlabor" is still loved by many fans. This summer, an exhibition commemorating the 30th anniversary of "Mobile Police Patlabor" [TV-Geki Patlabor 2] is scheduled to be held at Abeno Harukas in Osaka, attracting even more attention.

The first volume of the "Mobile Police Patlabor Character Book" series, "SIDE:ENEMIES," which went on sale on June 30, focuses on the unique enemy characters, covering 105 enemy characters from OVAs, TV anime, manga, and novels across media. The dark deeds of these characters are also introduced.

It also includes interviews with Masami Yuki and Mamoru Oshii of the original author HEADGEAR, and voice actors Takaya Doji (who plays Kurosaki) and Atsuko Tanaka (who plays Saeko Misaki). The appeal of the characters is analyzed from multiple angles over 96 pages.

The cover features an illustration newly drawn by HEADGEAR character designer Akemi Takada. Both the regular and special limited editions will include an original clear file featuring the cover illustration, limited to 2,000 copies of the first edition (first-come-first-served basis). A special edition with a postcard-size acrylic stand featuring the cover illustration of Utsumi and Kurosaki is also on sale.
