Plastic Kit Review] MODEROID "Chrome Chrome" from P.A.WORKS' first robot anime "Chrome Chrome" is now on sale! Look out for the reproduction of the proportions of the anime & the amazing range of motion!

The main character robot of the anime "Chrome Clo", "Chrome Clo", is now available in Good Smile Company's plastic kit "MODEROID" series!

The anime "Chrome Clo" is a robot anime that aired from April to September 2016 as "P.A.WORKS 15th Anniversary Animation Work". Since it is a new work from P.A.WORKS, which until then had released "true tears", "Angel Beats!", "Another", "TARI TARI", "SHIROBAKO", and other works mainly set in everyday life, I wondered what kind of anime it would be... I was wondering what kind of anime it would be... but I didn't expect it to be a robot anime! Before the broadcast, information was limited, and when viewers finally saw the full-length anime, they were astonished.

The anime "Chromium Chromium" had many mecha and robots besides the main character robot "Chromium Chromium," but at the time of broadcast, the main focus was on character goods, leaving robot lovers with a bit of a sad memory of this work.

However, after 6 years, the long-awaited plastic model was released! After six years, the long-awaited plastic kit version has been realized!

So Akiba Research Institute also obtained a kit. We reviewed it.

Let's start with the packaging!

The figure of Chrome Chlo standing tall with a sword in his hand is very manly!

On the back of the package, there is a photo that shows the kit's charms. The anticipation is high!

Here are the stickers that come with the kit. If you want a simple finish, use only the A sticker. If you want a more realistic finish, you can add the B stickers as well.

Let's start assembling the kit.

First, the pattern with only A sticker.

The contrast between the shiny black armor and the vermilion-tinged parts is really austere! The gold studs that shine brightly on the black armor are also a nice accent. The gold seal is a matte gold, giving the armor a luxurious shine.

The shoulder armor is reminiscent of the large sleeves of Japanese armor, and the footwear is reminiscent of shinpatsu or tsurunuki, giving the figure an armor-like appearance.

The head is pre-colored with very detailed color-coding, including sensors and lines. Other parts are color-coded almost exclusively with molded colors, allowing you to complete the Chrome-Chrome as it is without any assembly.

On the back is the cockpit block "The Cube".

It can be attached and detached as per the settings.

As expected, it cannot be transformed, but it is color-coded to a very fine degree.

As you can see, since the robot has quite small toes, it is a little difficult to make Chrome Chrome stand on its own.

Therefore, a stand is included to assist in standing poses.

By connecting the stand to the parts extending from the waist, the robot will not fall over even if its center of gravity is behind it.

Next, let's check out the movable parts.

The neck is movable, including raising and lowering the chin and rotating it to the left and right.

The arms can swing straight up or raise 90 degrees to the side.

Elbow movement is also excellent.

The elbows can be bent almost 180 degrees.

There is a horizontal roll axis at the elbow joint, so you can twist the elbow like this. A strong ally for posing!

The super-vibration sword can be pulled out from the scabbard mounted on the back.

If you make good use of the excellent upper body movement, you can pose her at ......

You can pose her with the sword drawn out.

The waist also has multiple movable parts, so it can move quite freely.

You can also bend it forward and backward.

Next, let's take a look at the legs.

The left and right legs can be opened like this.

Despite the rather sturdy waist, it is possible to stand up on one's knees!

The shin part can also be bent in the opposite direction from the joint!

Let's try applying the B sticker!

Next, let's apply B stickers to add more detail.

While the A stickers mainly complement the front studs, the B stickers complement the side and rear studs. It also allows for more detailed color-coding, such as the color-coding of The Cube and the black parts of the leg parts.

The B sticker also gives the kit a much denser feel.

This is the only hand parts provided.

In addition to the grip hand, there are two weapon handles each with different wrist angles. On the left hand side, there are two different opening hands.

There is a 3mm diameter hole in the crotch area that is compatible with "THE Simple Stand".

Using the stand gives you even more freedom in posing.

Let the figure strike various poses!

Let's try some different poses.

The left open hand gives her a nice expression, so she can be posed with her weapon in the ready position.

Let's try a two-fisted pose!

Using the stand, she can pose with her legs spread wide.

You can also use THE Simple Stand to create dynamic action poses!

Chrome Chrome bends over, looking for a chance to attack!

So, that was my review of the MODEROID "Chrome Chrome".

This is a must-buy item with an excellent joint structure that can reproduce actions that are possible on the human body as much as possible, and a sculpting style that is perfectly cool in any pose!

The coloring can be reproduced almost entirely with molded colors and stickers, which is also a great feature. Now all that is left is to paint the blade of the super vibrating sword in a metallic color, and I think it will be perfect.

If you have been able to produce such a perfect Chrome Chrome Chrome, I am still wondering if it is possible to reproduce the combination with Crow that appeared in the second half of the anime. ...... It was very exciting to see the main character robot that could fly by combining with the support mecha.

I would love to reproduce that famous scene. ......

For now, let's all buy "Chrome Chrome" and cheer for the series to continue!
