From August 13 (Sat.) to 24 (Wed.), 2022, an "Elevated Camping Practice Area" will be set up under the elevated railway tracks of JR Akihabara to conduct a demonstration experiment. The location is under the elevated railway line between Akihabara and Okachimachi on the JR Yamanote Line.

The "Camping Training Site under the Elevated railway tracks" is a new project being tested by JR East Japan Urban Development Corporation, which manages and operates the elevated railroad tracks of JR East, The company will work with the Coleman Division of Newell Brands Japan G.K. to develop a business plan that will support the growth of outdoor skills in an extraordinary space. The company has begun accepting applications for general monitors for the verification experiment to be conducted under the elevated railway tracks of Akihabara on the JR Yamanote Line from August 13 (Sat.) to 24 (Wed.), 2022.
