Gundam Project, a cross-sectional project of the BANDAI NAMCO Group, and BANDAI SPIRITS announced that "Gundam R (Recycle) Operation 2022" (free admission and participation), an activity to raise awareness of recycling through Gundam, will be held at over 45 locations around Japan from July 2022. The company announced that it will hold "Operation Gundam R (Recycle) 2022" (free admission and participation) to raise awareness of recycling through Gundam.

In 2021, the campaign was held at 31 locations, and in 2022, the second year of the campaign, the number of locations will be expanded to more than 45, including venues for "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE," the largest-ever comprehensive GUNDAM event that will be held in various locations for the next future of GUNDAM.
Through Gundam and Gundam plastic models, we aim to raise society's interest in recycling and realize a sustainable society.

In addition, the contents of the special event "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -BASE SERIES-" for all Gundam fans have now been determined for the Shibuya, Nagoya and Osaka venues (to be held from August). We will introduce the plans for each venue, including "Gundam R Operation 2022" and collaborations with famous artists.

Gundam R Operation 2022

The "Gundam Model Kits Recycling Project," which aims to create a recycling-oriented society by recycling the runners (frame parts of plastic models) of "Gundam models" collected with the cooperation of fans, started in April 2021, and the amount of runners collected in one year amounted to approximately 11 tons.

At the "Gundam R Operation 2022" venue, "eco plastic" Gundam Model Kits made from recycled runners, a special booklet, and limited edition stickers will be distributed free of charge. By actually putting the runners in the collection box after having fun assembling Gundam models, visitors can feel closer to the recycling of plastic.

In addition, at "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -TOKYO BASE-," which will be held from September 29 (Thu.) to October 2 (Sun.) at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangular Plaza, a full-size Gundam Aerial head, the hero machine of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury," will be displayed as an installation using the collected runners. The installation will use the runners recovered from the runners.

Gundam Next Future -BASE SERIES

Special events centered around the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" exhibit will be held in various locations around Japan for all Gundam fans to enjoy. At each venue, the prequel to "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" "PROLOGUE" will be screened on a large screen, and stamp rally cards containing tickets to attend the online preview of the prequel "PROLOGUE" will also be distributed. There will be a stamp rally with prizes, unique exhibits at each venue, and much more, so be sure to check it out.

(1)Gundam x Artist Curtis Krig Collaboration Special Exhibit / Exhibition of Gundam Series

Curtis Kulig is an artist based in New York. His signature artwork, the original "Love Me" design, which is also popular in Japan, will be exhibited at the event space on the 4th floor of Shibuya PARCO.

In addition, the event space on the 4th floor will feature a corner introducing the latest TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury," and a staged exhibition of Gundam works from past generations in the "Infinity" area, which uses mirrors and LEDs to create a fantastic space in outer space.

(2) A 2-meter Gundam Aerial standing statue will appear in the Park Avenue Plaza.

A standing Gundam Aerial statue will appear at the entrance facing Park Avenue on the first floor of Shibuya PARCO.

(3) Screening of "PROLOGUE," the prequel to "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury

PROLOGUE," the prequel to the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" anime, will be screened, and stamp rally cards containing tickets to an online preview of the "PROLOGUE" prequel will be distributed.

A stamp rally will be held at the three "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -SHIBUYA MINI BASE-" venues, where visitors can receive limited items from GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE. The stamp rally card includes a ticket to participate in the online preview of "PROLOGUE," the prequel to "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury.
