Wonder Festival 2022 [Summer]" was held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Wonder Festival," one of the world's largest figurative arts and figures festivals, began as an event for professionals and amateurs alike to showcase their figurative skills by bringing kits they have created to exhibit and sell at the event. Exhibits from anime-related companies, existing character kits that are only allowed to be sold on the day of the event, and one-of-a-kind sculptures are some of the attractions of this event.

The event, which had to be canceled or held online due to the new coronavirus, has made headlines for being held offline for the first time in two years on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Like the previous offline event, this year's event was held after thorough infection prevention measures were taken, including disinfection, wearing masks, and social distance.

In addition, despite the midsummer day of the event, when the temperature exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, many participants and vendors gathered in the exhibition area. Meanwhile, the cosplay photography zone, one of the event's highlights, also attracted a long line of camera-toting general participants, who were sweating and forming long lines to take pictures of cosplayers.

Cosplayers dressed as characters from the manga "Chainsaw Man" stood out, with some even making their own masks and weapons. Other works from various eras were also seen, including the manga "SPY x FAMILY" and "Dragon Ball.
