ClariS, a two-piece unit celebrating its 12th year since debut, will hold its first concert tour in two years and 10 months "ClariS HALL CONCERT 2022 ~Twinkle Summer Dreams~" at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on 8/11 (Thu., holiday) and at Kanagawa Prefectural Hall on 8/13 (Sat.). The Tokyo concert (LINE CUBE SHIBUYA) held on Thursday, August 11 (national holiday) attracted a total of approximately 4,000 people for two performances, one in the daytime and the other in the evening, as thorough measures were taken to prevent new corona infection.

They released their 6th album "Parfaitone" in April, and released their 24th single "ALIVE" (opening theme of TV anime "Licorice Recoil") on 8/3 (Wed) this month, and their 25th single "Masquerade" (ending theme of TV anime "Shadow House 2nd Season") on 9/14 (Wed). The concert was a memorable one that symbolized the current ClariS, which is energetically continuing its activities in preparation for the release of its 25th single "Masquerade" (the ending theme of the TV anime "Shadow House 2nd Season") on September 14 (Wed).

The concert featured the first performances of many songs, including new songs from the "Parfaitone" album, and a live performance linked to a story set in the "Milky Way" world, which was originally conceived by Karen, a member of ClariS. Takahiro Sakurai, a voice actor, was in charge of guiding the audience through the story. The audience was also fascinated by the new live performance, which included elements produced by the members, with "Clara" in charge of costume design.

The live started with "Twinkle Twinkle," a retro-futuristic song by ClariS. The audience was filled with pastel pink (Clara) and pastel green (Karen) penlights, the colors of the members. The yellow and gold colored dress of the band, combined with the mature atmosphere of the audience, symbolized the current ClariS, which has entered its 12th year and is now moving on to a new stage.

The audience was quickly drawn closer to the band as they continued to perform popular songs such as "Alicia" and "CLICK," which was hard to believe that it had been 2 years and 10 months since their last performance, and the venue was already enveloped in a sense of unity. The cheering song "Fight! and the ska-style rock number "Shinsekai Venus" brought energy and smiles to the audience, which quickly shifted the mood to a brighter worldview.

In the following section, songs based on the concepts of "sea" and "summer" were performed in conjunction with the story scenes. The members appeared in a fluttering blue one-piece dress with an image of mermaids and sang "Lorelei in the Eyes," a popular song written by GLAY's TAKURO, "Mermaid," a song about a sad mermaid girl's heart, and "Summer Delay," a song about summer love, in a sad yet emotional way. The venue was colored with blue penlights, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

ClariS version of "Music Box", the ending theme of the TV anime "'Magia Records Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden' Final Season -Asakiyumu no Dawn- Final Episode" which had been broadcast in April, was also performed. The audience was greatly fascinated by her innovative dance inspired by a music box and her clear, elongated singing voice. The video images were linked to the graphic images of an undersea adventure, and "Awaiiomoi" and "Hologram" were also performed, giving the audience a nostalgic feeling of summer.

In the next section, the story took a sudden turn. The new song "Masquerade" (the ED theme of the TV anime "Shadow House 2nd Season"), which is scheduled to be released on September 14 (Wed.), was performed in a bewitching waltz-style atmosphere, with a masked dancer performing contemporary music. The venue's penlights turned red as the masked dancers performed a contemporary dance in a bewitching waltz-like atmosphere. The song, together with "Cynical Suspense," created a mysterious worldview.

The following songs, "Identity" and "missing you," were filled with messages and sung with a red stand microphone in front of the audience. It was impressive to see them singing each phrase of the lyrics with all their heart and care.

The latest single "ALIVE" (opening theme of TV anime "Licorice Recoil") overwhelmed the audience who had been waiting for the performance of the new song with its intense rock-style sound, dance and the strong will of the two members. When they continued with their signature song "Connect," the venue was filled with the most passionate atmosphere of the day.

Toward the end of the live, they performed a series of songs based on the theme of "star" and "hope. In "Starry," they sang their wishes with a blue microphone in front of the audience, while "SHIORI" and "Careless" featured more powerful dance moves. The last song of the show, "reunion," was the last song of the main program, and the audience was filled with the heartfelt atmosphere as they sang their thoughts for the future with all their might.

The main part of the concert consisted of 21 songs without MC. Throughout the entire show, they created an atmosphere of originality that can only be experienced at a concert at ClariS, and the "message from ClariS" in the story, "May I always and forever be close to everyone's happiness... The show ended to thunderous applause along with the "message from ClariS.

After the encore, they performed "Naisho no Hanashi" cutely with dancers. The last song of the concert was "PRECIOUS" sung strongly as the penlights were filled with "pink" and "green" as if symbolizing the audience's reluctance to leave behind. The first audience live performance in about 2 years and 10 months ended with a greater sense of unity than expected.

During the encore, the only MC at the concert, Clara said, "Thank you for coming to the concert today! I was so happy to be able to share my thoughts and feelings with you. Even though I couldn't speak or wear a mask, it was a great time to see everyone's smiling faces and the beautiful scenery." Karen said, "Thank you all for waiting until today. While we couldn't see you, you sent us many letters, messages, and words, which encouraged us and made us work hard until today. With the Corona Disaster, the important things that we used to take for granted are actually not so important... I created the "story part" of the film with the theme of the happiness of seeing your loved ones and the happiness of having your loved ones right in front of you." Each of them commented on the feelings they wanted to convey at the concert, while chewing on the joy of being able to hold an audience-attended live concert for the first time in a while.

Also, while mentioning their recently announced appearance at "Inazuma Rock Fest 2022," their first outdoor music festival, a surprise announcement was made that a special ClariS program will be broadcast on Fuji Television's CS (details to be announced later) and that a concert will be held in the winter.

In 2022, ClariS will release a series of new works, and will be energetically running through the end of the year, so please keep your eyes on them.
