Splatoon" is an action shooting game in which players control a mysterious squid that transforms into human form and shoot ink at each other. The latest title, "Splatoon 3," will be released on September 9, 2022.

On August 28 (Sunday) from 9:00 to 21:00, an event will be held to allow players to experience "Splatoon 3" ahead of time! The experience will be the "Fesmatch," in which all players will be divided into three forces to battle.

Players can participate in the "Fesmatch" by themselves, but they can also form a group with friends who voted for the same force to play. Starting today, August 25 (Thu.), you can start the software to warm up and vote for the festival forces, so be sure to get ready before the real thing.

Goo vs. Poo vs. Choki: Which one will win?
In the "festival match," participants vote for one of the three themes presented to them and participate in the event.
For the first six hours, teams of four players from the same team will compete in a "Navaribari Battle" against the other team. During the second half of the six-hour period, a "Trikara Battle" may occur, in which three teams battle at once.

The ranking in the interim announcement at the end of the first half determines which forces belong to the four-person team defending the center and which forces belong to the two two-person teams attacking there.
The winners and losers of all battles in the first and second halves will determine the final result of which force will win!

The theme for the eve of the event was "Which is the strongest? Goo vs. Poo vs. Choki". There are two modes in the Fesmatch: "Challenge" mode, in which you participate alone to increase your Fespower, and "Open" mode, in which you can play by yourself or in a group with friends who have voted for the same force.

In the "Challenge" mode, "Challenge" contestants compete against each other, and in the "Open" mode, "Open" contestants compete against each other. The final result will be determined by a three-way competition based on the percentage of votes received, the winning percentage in the "Challenge" mode, and the winning percentage in the "Open" mode.

■How to Participate
1. Download the "Splatoon 3 eve festival" software in advance.
Go to the "Splatoon 3 eve festival" page on the Nintendo eShop and select "Free Reservation".
After August 18 (Thu.), the exclusive software will be automatically downloaded to your console.

Launch the exclusive software.
You will not be able to experience the "Fesmatch" until August 28 (Sun.) at 9:00 a.m., but you will be able to take a tutorial to familiarize yourself with the controls and vote for which force you would like to participate in the "Fesmatch".
*Make sure to select your region for the festival, which you will select when you launch "Splatoon 3: The Night Before" for the first time.

3. Participate in the festival match!
You can participate in the "Splatoon 3 eve festival" festival match from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 28 (Sun.).
To participate, you will need an internet connection and a subscription to "Nintendo Switch Online" (paid service).
