The Japan Game Awards 2022 (JGA2022), sponsored by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), announced today, Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the ongoing Tokyo Game Show 2022, the winners of the Excellence Awards and the Grand Prize in the "Japan Game Awards 2022 The Excellence Award and the Grand Prize in the "Annual Work Category" were announced today, September 15, 2022. The "Japan Game Awards" is now in its 26th year.
This year's awards were open to all games released in Japan between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022*, and public voting was held from April 11 to July 22. The Japan Game Awards Selection Committee then reviewed the entries and selected the winners of each award. Only the Global Award was given to works released between January and the end of December 2021.
