The unique collaboration of "Blade of the Demon" and alternative meat won the Gold Prize at the "Kyoto Ani-Monozukuri Award 2022"!
Demon Slayer" products won the Gold Award in the International category of the "Kyoto Ani-Monozukuri Award 2022," which recognizes outstanding efforts in animation and different industries.
The "Kyoto Ani-Monozukuri Award" recognizes outstanding marketing and promotional efforts by companies and organizations utilizing anime, manga, and characters. It is the only award in Japan for collaboration between animation and different industries.
In recent years, the market has been expanding due to the increase in the number and popularity of anime fans, and the number of companies and organizations utilizing anime content for marketing has been increasing. In response to this, this award has attracted entries from a wide variety of companies and organizations that transcend industry boundaries.
This year, out of 157 entries, one project was selected for the "Grand Prix," seven for the "Gold," seven for the "Silver," and six for the "Bronze" awards.
Collaboration Campaign between "Next Meats, a food tech venture from Japan" & "Demon Slayer
Next Meats, a company that is expanding its business worldwide with Japanese grilled meat textures in the rapidly growing global market for plant-based meat alternatives, and "Demon Slayer" the movie "Infinity Train", the biggest hit of 2020, collaborated to produce a curry in Singapore.
The limited edition of the "Demon Slayer" main characters will be sold exclusively at Don Don Quijote, which is rapidly expanding its store network in Singapore.
Aburi-en, a Japanese restaurant chain that serves Japanese yakiniku and aburi-don, also offered the "Next Meets Don" (with key chain), a special collaboration with the movie version of "Demon Slayer" Infinity Train, for a limited time.
