At last, the leader of the SRX team! An in-depth review of the powerful Sentairi "RIOBOT Transformation Combination R-3 Powered"! Part 1 [Taiyuki's Toys and Games Vol. 22

The most robot-loving voice actor in the voice-over industry, Yasuyuki, has been playing around with the latest toy toys and hobbies!

After 26 years since the first appearance of "New Super Robot Taisen" for PlayStation®, the time has finally come for the SRX to become available for sale to the general public!

Following the "RIOBOT Transformable Combined Robot R-1" and the "RIOBOT Transformable Combined Robot R-2 Powered" introduced in this series, the " RIOBOT Transformable Combined Robot R-3 Powered" has finally been released!

The main body is a slim humanoid robot - a personal trooper - but the additional parts called "plus parts" are incomparably larger than those of the other models, and we wondered how big the box would be, but as expected, it came in the largest box in the series.

I can't tell you how much I have been waiting for this moment. ...... Let's take a look at the product.

The front of the package is the same as the SRX series: black foil stamped letters and a photo of the product.

On the back are the other SRX teams' aircraft and a towering SRX.

On the lid of the box is a photo of the R-3 equivalent parts in their combined state with the SRX.

On the sides of the box are images of the stock R-3 and R-3 Powered, respectively.

The contents are contained in multiple blister packages stacked on top of each other. The first blister contains the parts around the R-3 itself.

Below that is a blister containing the positive parts.

Below that is a blister containing the prop-related parts.

Finally, the pedestal.

Two instruction manuals are included, one for the R-3 Powered and the other for "how to combine it with SRX".

Let's start with the R-3 before it is equipped with the plus parts.

It is the slimmest of the three, partly because the leader of the SRX team, Captain Aya Kobayashi, is a woman. On its back, it is equipped with a "strike shield," an armament that is remotely controlled by the T-LINK system. The separation gimmick has been omitted.

The weapon moved relatively quickly in the "Super Robot Wars" series battle animations, so we were finally able to take a closer look at the shape of the weapon.

The face is a goggle type. Color coding has been reproduced to a very fine degree.

The wrist parts are also relatively small. Armor on the waist is also modest.

As you can see, the legs are very slender. One of the charms of the figure is its high-heeled heels. The orange lines on the sides of the calves are also stylish.

The strike shield is connected to the backpack.

The high-heeled heels are even more noticeable when viewed from behind.

Next is the range of motion.

The head can flex back and forth and rotate.

The shoulder joints can rotate 360° on a rotary axis at the connection. They can also be raised horizontally more than 90 degrees.

Elbows can be bent up to 180°. The roll rotation axis at the second arm and the wrist can swing and rotate slightly with the ball joint connection.

The twist of the hips is about this much.

The front and rear leg openings can be raised to about as high as a large backward and low kick in the forward direction.

Leg openings are about this high.

The knees are double-jointed and can bend 180°.

Roll rotation is possible at the break between the thigh and hip block.

Ankles can swing and rotate to the left and right. When the toes are extended, the heel of the heel is closed.

The backpack is movable as shown.

Also, the backpack connection and the strike shield connection can be angled slightly.

If you remove the backpack once, and attach the attachment parts to the post at the back of the waist

The backpack can be removed and connected to the included pedestal for posing. This is a reproduction of the pose of R-3 (initial equipment) at the beginning of the battle animation in the "New Super Robo". The pose is still somewhat cute.

A telekinetic convergence laser cannon is also included. In the image, she is holding it in her right hand with the "Grip Grip Wrist" attached.

There is also a flat hand, so it can be posed as if to indicate "Strike shield, fire! You can also pose her as if she is giving the command: ......

You can reproduce the figure closing the gap with the enemy at high speed, or ......

It can also be posed in a fighting pose like R-1.

Her knees can bend 180 degrees, so she can even jump and kick.

He is concentrating on his telekinesis with his hands on top of each other. What a surprise!

Here are the SRX team without plus parts. You can see that the R-2 on the right is surprisingly short.

In the "New Super Robo" series, the three SRXs were equipped with plus parts from the middle of the series, so it is quite rare to see the three SRXs side by side in this state.

Next, we are preparing the plus parts to be installed on R-3.

Connect the pedestal and the assembled plus parts main block.

In addition, wing-shaped parts that spread to the left and right are equipped.

Transformation of the main body of R-3. The waist side armor is moved to the back of the legs, and the strike shield is removed from the backpack and put together.

Strike shield is changed by replacing the position of the connection with R-3.

Re-equip it on the back of the R-3.

Hold the telekinetic convergence laser cannon with both hands and bring it to the front of the fuselage.

Attach R-3 body and laser cannon to the plus parts. Turn the face forward.

Dock the ankle parts of SRX to the plus parts.

Lock each part.

And here it is!　This is the completed figure of R-3 powered.

Basically, it can be displayed mounted on a pedestal, as it is an aircraft that engages in combat while in flight.

Since the main body is equipped with a plus part that goes into the body, the only movable part in this state is the rotating head.

In the beginning of the battle animation of "New Super Robo," it does not have any weapons yet. This state can of course be reproduced as well.

The SRX team equipped with plus parts, which appeared in the middle of the story in the "New Super Robo" series. In the size comparison, the R-3 takes the top position.

Although this is before the merging, it is a pleasure to see this lineup!
